Please refer to the IN5106 User’s Guide, and warranty and safety booklets for complete operating instructions.
2 Custom Key Menu Additions Ruled Lines has been added to the Main Menu > Settings > Custom Key menu. See later sections in this document for more information about this function. Closed Captions Closed captions can be shown when the source is analog – component (480i only), or s‐video or composite (NTSC only). The video signal must also include caption information. To control this feature, use the Main Menu > Picture > Closed Captions menu: • Auto: Display captions when sound is muted. • On: Always display captions. • Off: Never display captions. • Channel: Selects which captions to display (CC1 and CC2 are the most commonly used). 16:10 Aspect Ratio Support The 16:10 aspect ratio has been added to the Main Menu > Picture > Aspect Ratio menu.
3 Monitor Out Control The Monitor Out connector outputs either the Computer 2 or Computer 3 source. The source that is output is determined by the current source and the Monitor Out Default setting, as shown below: Current Source Monitor Out Default setting Computer 2 Computer 3 Off Computer 1 Output Computer 2 Output Computer 3 No output Computer 2 Output Computer 2 Output Computer 2 Output Computer 2 Computer 3 Output Computer 3 Output Computer 3 Output Computer 3 Video 1 Output Computer 2 Output Computer 3 No output Video 2 Output Computer 2 Output Computer 3 No output Video 3 Output Computer 2 Output Computer 3 No output To change the above Monitor Out Default setting, use the Main Menu > Settings > Monitor Out Default menu: • Computer 2: Output Computer 2 unless current source is Computer 3 (in that case output Computer 3 instead). • Computer 3: Output Computer 3 unless current source is Computer 2 (in that case output Computer 2 instead). • Off: Output the current source if it is Computer 2 or Computer 3. Otherwise do not output any signal.
4 Ruled Lines Display This feature displays line patterns that are useful when projecting onto a writeable surface, or when installing and setting up the projector. To program your remote’s Custom button to show and hide ruled lines, go to the Main Menu > Settings > Custom Key menu and select Ruled Lines. To change the style of ruled lines that are shown, go to the Main Menu > Settings > Ruled Lines menu: • Lines on White: Horizontal lines on a white background. • Lines on Black: Horizontal lines on a black background. • Grid on White: Grid on a white background. • Grid on Black: Grid on a black background. Computer 1 (HDMI) Connector Location Change The location of the Computer 1 (HDMI) connector has been changed to be near the upper left corner of the back panel:
