Operating range This remote control uses infrared transmission to control the projector. It is not necessary to point the remote directly at the projector. Provided you are not holding the remote to the sides or the rear of the projector, the remote will function within a maximum radius of 7m (22ft) and 30° above or below the projector level. If the projector does not respond to the remote control, move a little closer. Note: Yo u can also point the remote at the projected image. Projector and remote control buttons The projector can be operated using the remote control or the buttons on the top of the projector. All operations can be carried out with the remote control. Chapter 5. On-Screen Display menu controls This projector has an On-Screen Display (OSD) that lets you make image adjustments and change various settings. Note: Yo u must have a display on the screen in order to access the OSD. Navigating the OSD Yo u can use the remote control or the buttons on the top of the projector to navigate and make changes to the OSD. The following sections show the menus in the OSD. Image menu The image menu can be found through the main menu. To access the Image menu, follow these steps: 1. Press the Menu button to open the main menu. 2. Press the cursor left/right button to move to the Image menu. 3. Press the cursor down button to move down in the Image menu. The Image menu is shown below. The following table shows the options that you will see in the Image menu and the default. Item Description Default Brightness Press the cursor left/right button to adjust the brightness. View menu To access the View menu, follow the steps below: 1. Press the Menu button to open the main menu. 2. Press the cursor left/right button to move to the View menu. 3. Press the cursor up/down button to move up and down in the View menu. The View menu is shown below. The following table shows the options that you will see in the View menu and the default. Press the Menu button to open the main menu. 2. Press the left/right cursor to move to the Setup menu. 3. Press the cursor up/down button to move up and down in the Setup menu. Auto Presentation Timer Press the cursor left/right button to select the time for the presentation timer. Range: Off/10 min/20 min/30 min/40 min/50 min/60 min Off Cancel Reset Auto Source, Auto Power off, Menu Position, and Presentation Timer to default values. White Balance White Balance is a menu for calibration purposes. Follow the steps below to use the White Balance menu. 1.
