Call and Contacts 74 Finding a contact Search contacts stored on the phone, SIM card or linked to an online account. 1 Open Contacts. For more complete search results, ensure that Contacts is configured to display all of your contacts. In Contacts, touch > Display preferences and then select All contacts . 2 On the contact list, use one of the following methods to find a contact: • Swipe the contact list up or down. • Slide your finger up or down the index on the right hand side of the screen to scroll through your contacts. • Enter the contacts name, initials, phone number, email address or other contact information in the search bar at the top of the contact list. Search results will be displayed underneath. 3 Select a contact. You can then choose to call them, send them a text message or edit their contact information. Viewing contacts from different accounts If you have too many contacts, you can choose to display only phone contacts, SIM card contacts or contacts linked to a particular account. 1 Open Contacts. 2 Touch > Display preferences. 3 Select the accounts you want to display or customise display settings.

Call and Contacts 75 Adding a contact to your favourites You can add frequently-contacted people to your favourites so that they are easier to find. 1 Open Contacts. 2 Touch and hold the contact you want to add to your favourites, and then touch Add to favourites . When viewing contact details, you can also touch to add the contact to your favourites. Contact groups Organise friends and family into different groups. You can send text messages or emails to everyone in a group. Contacts now also features Smart groups. Your phone can automatically sort contacts according to their company, location or the date you last contacted them. This allows for smart management of contacts and groups. Creating a group 1 Open Contacts. 2 Touch Groups and then . 3 Enter the group name (for example Family or Friends) and then touch OK. 4 Touch . To search for a message, swipe down in the list of message threads and enter your search term in the search bar. Viewing spam messages If your phone has incorrectly marked a message as spam, touch > Harassment filter in the list of message threads. You can view spam messages and configure the spam settings. Sending an text message You can spice up your text messages by adding emoticons, images, videos, music, recordings and more. 1 Open Messaging. 2 In the list of message threads, touch . 3 Select the recipient box and enter the contact name or phone number. You can also touch to open your contact list and choose a contact or contact group. 4 Select the text field and enter your message, and then touch . When viewing a message, touch the message twice to enter full screen text selection view. • Add the message to your favourites: Touch > Copy to Favourites to add the message to your favourites. When you delete messages, messages in your favourites will not be affected. In the list of message threads, touch > Copy to Favourites to view your favourite messages. • Lock the message: Touch > Lock to lock the message. When you delete messages, locked messages will not be affected. Managing common phrases You can create common phrases to save your time when youre composing a text message. 1 Open Messaging. 2 In the list of message threads, touch > Settings > Advanced > Common phrases.
