Processor
✎The processor spare part kit includes replacement thermal material.
Before removing the processor, follow these steps: 
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, 
and then shut it down through the operating system. 
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord...

Removal and replacement procedures
Remove the processor: 
1. Turn the processor locking screw 1 one-half turn counterclockwise, until you hear a click.
2. Lift the processor 2 straight up, and remove it.
✎The gold triangle 3 on the processor must be aligned with the triangle icon 4 embossed on the 
processor socket when you install the processor.
 
Reverse this procedure to install the processor.

Setup Utility
Starting Setup Utility
Setup Utility is a ROM-based information and customization utility that can be used even when your Windows 
operating system is not working.
✎The fingerprint reader cannot be used to access Setup Utility.
The utility reports information about the computer and provides settings for startup, security, and other preferences.
To start Setup Utility:

Navigating and selecting in Setup Utility
Because Setup Utility is not Windows based, it does not support the TouchPad. Navigation and selection are 
by keystroke.
■To choose a menu or a menu item, use the arrow keys.
■To choose an item in a list or to toggle a field, for example an Enable/Disable field, use either the arrow keys or 
f5 or f6.
