3.Lift the left side of the cover (2), swing it to the right, and remove the cover. The memory/WLAN
module compartment cover is included in the Plastics Kit, spare part number 438368-001.
4.Spread the retaining tabs (1) on each side of the memory module slot to release the memory module.
(The edge of the module opposite the slot rises away from the computer.)

4.Use the disc tray frame to slide the optical drive (3) out of the computer.
5.If it is necessary to replace the optical drive bracket, position the optical drive with the optical drive
bracket toward you.
6.Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the optical drive bracket to the optical
drive.
7.Remove the optical drive bracket (2).
Reverse the above procedure to reassemble and install the optical drive.

Switch cover

3.Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter...

4.Lift the rear edge of the switch cover and swing it forward until it rests on the keyboard.
5.Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) to which the power button board is connected,
and disconnect the cable from the power button board.
6.Disconnect the microphone cable (2) from the power button board.
7.Release the ZIF connector (3) to which the LED board is connected and disconnect the cable from
the power button board.
8.Remove the switch cover.
