3.Lift the right side of the hard drive bay cover (2), swing it up and to the left, and remove the cover (3). The hard drive bay cover is included in the Plastics Kit, spare part number 486793-001. 4.Use the Mylar tab (1) to slide the hard drive to the left (2), and then lift it to release it from the hard drive bay. 5.Disconnect the hard drive cable (3) from the system board. 6.Remove the hard drive from the hard drive bay. 7.If it is necessary to replace the hard drive bracket or any of the hard drive bracket components, remove the following: (1) Four Phillips PM3.0×3.0 screws that secure the hard drive bracket rails and Mylar cover to the hard drive (2) Left and right hard drive bracket rails (3) Mylar cover with tab (4) Four rubber isolators (5) Hard drive connector cable Reverse this procedure to reassemble and install the hard drive. 64 Chapter 4 Removal and replacement procedures

10.Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) to which the keyboard cable is connected and disconnect the cable (2) from the system board. 11.Remove the keyboard. 12.Disconnect the power button board cable (1) from the low insertion force (LIF) connector on the system board. 13.Disconnect the LED board cable (2) from the LIF connector on the system board. 14.Remove the switch cover.
