3. Slide the lever-lock on the blue hu b to the unlocked position and remo ve the hub (1) from the left end of the spindle. 4 . Rest the roll of paper that you want to load on th e take-up reel deflector. The roll might be long and heavy, and you might need two people to handle it. 5 . Slide the spindle into the roll. 6. Put the blue hub on to the upper en d of the spindle, and push it towards the end of the roll as shown in step 1 in the following image. The normal procedure (roll attached to spindle) If the end of the roll is still attached to the spindle, use the following procedure. 1 . On the printers front panel, select the icon, and then select Unload paper. 2 . The paper is ejected from the printer. Use the take-up reel CAUTION:Make sure the printer is turned off when installing the take-up reel motor on the printer. The take-up reel must be enabled and operated from the front panel. When the take-up reel is enabled, the “Take-up reel enabled” message appears on the Paper tab on the front panel.
