NOTE:HP supports color consistenc y between print jobs printed wi th the same printer models,
using the same paper type.
Scenario 1

To ensure color consistency when repr inting the job, use the same paper type.

2. Reprint a job: Through the Embedded web server, go to the  Job queue, select the job you want to
reprint, and then click the  Reprint button.
A file can also be printed again if was stored  in the printer. Through the Embedded Web Server, go
to  Stored jobs in printer , select the job you want to print, and then click the  Print button.
Scenario 2
Reprint a job by using two HP Designjet Z6100 printers.
To ensure color consistency when reprin ting the job, use the same paper type.

2. When you are ready to print, select  File > Page and Print Setup , and select the HP-GL/2 and
RTL driver.
3 . Click the  Properties  button and configure th e driver as follows.
● On the  Paper/Quality tab, set  Print Quality to Quality.
● On the  Color tab, clear the  Print In Grayscale  check box, and set Printer managed
colors to  sRGB in the  Source profile  drop-down menu.
4 . Click the  OK button.
5 . Select  File > Print .

settings have no effect), and click the  OK button.

● Click the  Properties  button, select the  HP RTL (RGB) TrueColor  driver, and select the

Clean the exterior of the printer
Use a damp sponge or a soft cloth and a mild household cleaner such as non-abrasive liquid soap to
clean the outside of the printer and all other parts of the printer that you regularly touch as part of normal
operation (for example, ink cartridge drawer handles).
WARNING! To avoid an electric shock, make sure th at the printer is turned OFF and unplugged
before you clean it. Do not le t water get inside the printer.
CAUTION:Do not use abrasive cleaners on the printer....

posits from the cutter groove.
4. With the same dry brush, remove in
k deposits from the platen surface.
5. Use a clean, absorbent lint-free cloth that has been
 slightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to wipe
loosened ink deposits from the platen.
NOTE: Isopropyl alcohol is not prov ided in the Maintenance Kit.
CAUTION:Do not use commercial cleaners or abra sive cleaners. Do not wet the platen
directly, because you will leav e too much moisture behind.

circumference of these wheels.
Clean the paper-advance sensor window
The paper advance sensor is the very small rectangular window (less than 1 square centimeter in size and
shown in the following graphic) near the sixth platen roller from the right.
HP recommends that you clean the paper-advance se
nsor window whenever you clean the print platen
and if you are experiencing print quality issues.
