The uses of a multiroll printer A multiroll printer can be useful in several different ways: ●You can switch between different paper types quickly and without touching the printer. ●You can switch between different paper widths quickly and without touching the printer. Roll switching policy If the printer has two rolls of paper and it receives a job that could be printed on either roll, it will normally print on the currently loaded roll because there is no reason to change. However, if the current roll is much wider than the job requires, to print on the current roll will mean some waste of paper.
