Check cleaner for dirt or obstruction of ele- ments. Fill fuel tank * Use any automotive gasoline. CAUTION: Gasoline substitutes are not recommended, they may be harmful to the fuel system components. Fuel ffiler cap Recoil starter ruction of ele- Check reduction gear oil level. Turn the fuel valve ON. Turn the fuel valve OFF. b Set the throttle by tightening the wing nut at the desired speed. Turn the en-@ne switch ON. c Move the throttle lever down fully. Turn the engine switch OFF. Loosen the wing nut and raise the throttle lever slightly. Close choke lever. NOTE: Do not use the choke if the engine is warm or the air temperature 1s high.

AIRCLEANER ELEMENT a dusty area. *Remove dust from paper element B by applying compressed air from inside of the element or tapping the case lightly. If the element is excessively dirty replace or wash it in liquid water is clear. Dry it thoroughly by detergent and water and flush until applying compressed air before install- Ing. *Wash the foam element in C liquid detergent and water and flush until water is clear. Dry it thoroughly by applying compressed air. After drying, soak in oil and saueeze out the excess. CLEAN SPARK PLUG AND CHECK GAP (.024 - .028 in) 0.6 - 0.7 mm Use NGK B4H, BR4HS or ND W14F-U, W14FR-U CDI type 0.9 - 1.0 mm (.035 - .039 in) Use NGK BP4HS-IO BPR4HS-10 or, ND W 14FP- ULIO, W14FPR-ULIO * Do not use gasoline or low flash point solvents for cleaning. They are flammable and explosive under certain conditions. ADJUST IGNITION TIMING f Adjust contact breaker points so that they just start to open when the F mark on the flywheel aligns with the mark on crankcase. t IGNITION TIMING: 20 BTDC.
