41 CARRYING SLING Carrying sling The carrying sling enables the UMP to be carried in several ways. In this process, the buttstock may be folded up or unfolded. The carrying sling is attached to the mounting points on the receiver, handstop, or buttstock via the carbine hooks. Length Adjustment • Close coupler • Rest the carrying sling between thumb and index finger and let the UMP hang down in a horizontal position. 45 SIGHT ALIGNMENT FOR THE UMP Sight Adjustment If the point of impact has to be corrected, this will be done by adjustment of the rear sight using the Allen wrench provided with the weapon. The UMP is zeroed at the factory to hit the point of aim at 25 meters (27.3 yards).
