Adjusting the brightness
To adjust screen brightness:  
Use the increase brightness and decrease brightness 
keys on the keyboard. For more information, see “System 
key combinations” on page 26.

IEEE 802.11 wireless network radio
Your notebook may have an IEEE 802.11 radio for accessing the 
Internet through a wireless access point or communicating 
with other computers on a wireless Ethernet network.
To turn the wireless IEEE 802.11 radio on:  
1Enable the wireless IEEE 802.11 radio by sliding the 
wireless network switch to the ON position. For the 
location of the wireless network switch, see “Front” on 
page 6.

traveling by airplane to prevent it from being accidently turned 
on while in flight.
To disable the wireless IEEE 802.11 radio:

To insert a CD or DVD:  
1Press the eject button on the CD or DVD drive. After the 
tray opens slightly, pull the disc tray completely open.
