Using the EZ Pad touchpad

When you move your finger on the touchpad, the pointer (arrow) on the screen 
moves in the same direction.
You can use the EZ-Pad left and right buttons below the touchpad to select 
objects.
You can assign a function to the rocker switch between the touchpad buttons. 
This function can be to scroll up or down, maximize or minimize the active

Connecting the modem
Your notebook has a built-in 56K modem that you can use to connect to a 
standard telephone line.
To connect the modem:
1Insert one end of the modem cable into the modem jack on the left 
side of your notebook.
2Insert the other end of the modem cable into a telephone wall jack. The 
modem will not work with digital or PBX telephone lines.
3Start your notebook, then start your communications program.

Connecting to a wired Ethernet 
network
Your notebook has a network jack that you can use to connect to a 10/100 
wired Ethernet network.
To connect to a wired Ethernet network:
1Insert one end of the network cable into the network jack on the left 
side of your notebook.
2Insert the other end of the network cable into a network jack. Ask your 
network administrator to help you select the correct network jack.
