Cleaning
The GPS V is constructed of high quality materials and does not require user 
maintenance other than cleaning.  Clean the unit using a cloth dampened with a mild 
detergent solution and then wipe dry.  Avoid chemical cleaners and solvents that may 
damage plastic components.

Storing alkaline batteries in the unit for extended periods is not recommended.  In

Messages
The GPS V uses an on-screen message system to alert 
you to unit operating characteristics. Press the ENTERkey
to acknowledge the message and return to the page you 
were viewing. 
Anchor Drag - You have drifted beyond the specifi ed 
anchor drag alarm distance.
Arriving at Destination - You have arrived at the 
destination location.
Can’t Unlock Maps - At least one map on the data card 
is locked.

Proximity Radius Overlaps - The alarm radius 
specifi ed overlaps the area specifi ed by another proximity 
waypoint.
Route Memory Full - Route memory is full and no 
more routes can be saved or added (from another GPS unit 
or a PC).
Route Truncated - The route has been truncated 
because it was too long.  There will be turns missing prior to 
the destination.
Route Waypoint Memory is Full - There is no more
