Home entertainment has come of age. DVDs have 
expanded the movie experience and raised the bar on 
image quality. Gone are the days when you could impress 
your friends with a big-screen TV. Movie night calls 
for large projections – approaching 300 inches – and 
high- resolution, theatre-quality images. Fujitsu General Limited 
has made it possible to have all the benefits of watching a 
movie in a theatre with some important exceptions: you 
decide what to watch, when to watch it and who to watch 
it with. The LPF-B601 liquid crystal projector was 
developed for just such an experience. It features the 
industry’s top-class brightness of 1000 ANSI lumens and 
high contrast of 800:1, thanks to the use of a wide 16:9 
panel and new optical engine, as well as compatibility with 
the 720p HDTV standard – all at a weight of just 5kg.

sources, so the entire family can enjoy their favourite
entertainment with big-screen, high-quality images.
Share the fun of vacation scenes taken with a digital
camera. Watch movies and enjoy concerts as if you
were there in person. Get into the action of video games
as never before. View photos, graphics and other data
you’ve composed on your PC, or coordinate images
with music and DJ commentary for parties. And make

theatre may have to start taking reservations!You select the formatWe designed the LPF-B601 to take advantage of the full
range of image data options. It accepts composite
video, S-Video and component video inputs, and is
compatible with NTSC, PAL, SECAM, PAL-M, PAL-N,
PAL60 and NTSC4.43 video standards. It also has a 
3-dimensional Y/C separation circuit for NTSC and a 
4-line Y/C separation circuit for PAL, which improves
cross colour and prevents dot disturbance.

Finally, a projector with the technology that allows you to appreciate 
the beauty of today’s finest image software.
Film is an image-rich medium. Its ability to reproduce 
natural colours and shades in striking detail is unmatched. It 
was once thought impossible to capture the clarity and 
texture of film in another format. However, Fujitsu General
Limited’s proprietary Fine Mode technology achieves just 
that. It’s a brightness control method based on theatre light 
levels that controls both signal processing parameters and 
lamp output in accordance with input signal levels to lower
brightness in order to prevent screen glare. Unlike 
conventional cinema modes, it maintains brightness at the 
optimum level without diminishing the image’s superior 
gradation and colour reproduction characteristics. Dark 
scenes are displayed clearly even in dark rooms, and eye 
fatigue over long periods is reduced. You enjoy images that 
capture the precision of film and the ambience of a movie 
theatre in the privacy of your own home.
Project video images at their film-like finestTo ensure clear reproduction of video images as well 
as data and pictures, the LBF-B601 has an I/P 
(interlace/progressive) conversion function that 
converts interlaced video images to progressive images
while correcting them. This reduces screen flickering
and reproduces smooth video with high 
density. When displaying movies based on original 24
frames-per-second film, it detects signals converted by
2-3 pulldown to reproduce images at 60 frames per
second without degrading the film-like texture.Low noise and low energyWhat makes the home theatre experience unique is that
it happens in the comfort and intimacy of your 
own home. For this reason, Fujitsu General Limited
came up with a fan design for the LPF-B601 that is 
quieter than ever. Cooling fans are located next to each
heat-producing part, such as the lamp and power 
supply, rather than using just one large fan. 
And fan revolution is staggered and optimized to reduce
fan noise by 35% compared to the previous system.
Total noise emission is a mere 30dB.
This projector gives you energy savings too, because its
highly efficient optical design reduces power drain. And
when you select Fine Mode, lamp output is 
automatically controlled to cut power consumption 
by 10 percent.

high-contrast images as wide as you want.
There’s always room to entertainSpace can be a problem when creating an 
ideal home theatre environment. A short
focal length lens allows you to project onto 
a large screen without having to position 
the projector far away. For example, using
the LBF-B601 to project onto a 100-inch
screen requires only 3.8 metres of space.
Another issue is the angle of projection.
Some interiors or seating arrangements 
may not allow you to project an image
directly at the screen either horizontally or
vertically. The LBF-B601’s keystone 
correction function allows you to adjust in
both directions so your images always
appear in the proper perspective.
Select the mode to match your contentIn addition to Fine Mode, there are four 
other picture modes, which you can select 
to view various images at maximum 
quality. Dynamic Mode is a gradation-
priority mode that provides greater 
contrast, so it’s recommended for enjoying
sports, animation and games. Standard 
and Real 1 are colour priority modes that
provide vivid colour, and are recommended
for watching ordinary television. Real 2 
emphasises brightness, so it’s ideal for 
viewing in a bright room or for viewing 
pictures from a PCOther functionsDigital Zoom: expands a portion of the 
image up to 20 times. 
Picture-In-Picture: Displays a small video
image inside the main RGB image. This
function allows the simultaneous 
projection of two different signals – an 
analogue RGB signal from your PC and a
video signal from another source. While 
the RGB signal is displayed on the 
screen as the main image, you can select 
a video image to appear in a small box 
integrated onto the main picture.
