11 Decocking procedure - Make sure the shotgun is pointed in a safe direction. Depress the locking lever / cocking lever (Fig 13), disengage the safety, with the hand still depressing the cocking lever reach with one finger and slowlypull the trigger and slowly release the cocking lever. -Warning- Do notrelease the lever rapidly once you have pulled the trigger or the gun coulddischarge if there is a live cartridge in the chamber.
