Wring the cloth as dry as possible, then wipe the case. Caution: Never use wax, alcohol, benzene, thinner, or other chemical detergents. These can damage the case. You can check how long the lamp has been used as described on page 53. If the number shown is close to the limit, make sure you have a spare lamp handy. Then slide out the lamp cover and lift up to remove it. 4. Loosen the two silver screws holding the lamp in place. (You can’t remove these screws.) 5. Caution: Don’t touch the glass portion of the lamp with your bare hands; the invisible residue left by the oil on your hands may shorten the lamp life.
