Hold down the laptops Fnkey and press the key labelled with a monitor icon or CRT/LCD. (See your laptop manual for details.) Wait a few seconds for an image to appear. 2. To display on both the laptops monitor and the projector, try pressing the same keys again. 3. If the same image is not displayed by the laptop and projector, check the Windows Displayutility to make sure the external monitor port is enabled and extended desktop mode is disabled. (See your computer or Windows manual for instructions.) 4. If necessary, check your video card settings and set the multiple display option to Mirroror Duplicate. Displaying From a Mac Laptop If you see the No Signal message when you display from a Mac laptop, you need to set up the laptop for mirrored display. (See your laptop manual for details.) 1. Open theSystem Preferences utility and selectDisplays. 2. Click the Arrangement tab. 3. Select the Mirror Displays checkbox. If necessary, select a different display resolution for your computer. (See your computer manual for details.) • As a test, try setting the computers display resolution to the lowest possible setting, and then gradually increase it as necessary. Available Color Modes Image Quality Settings - Image Menu Input Signal Settings - Signal Menu Projector Setup Settings - ECO Menu Solutions to Sound Problems If there is no sound when you expect it or the volume is too low or high, try the following solutions: • Adjust the projectors volume settings. • Press theA/V Mutebutton on the remote control to resume video and audio if they were temporarily stopped. • Press the Source Search button to switch to the correct input source, if necessary. • Check your computer or video source to make sure the volume is turned up and the audio output is set for the correct source. • Check the audio cable connections between the projector and your video source. • If you do not hear sound from an HDMI source, set the connected device to PCM output. • Make sure any connected audio cables are labeled No Resistance. • If you are using the USB Display function, turn on the Output audio from the projectorsetting in the Epson USB Display Settings program on your computer. • If you are using a Mac and you do not hear sound from an HDMI source, make sure your Mac supports audio through the HDMI port. If not, you need to connect an audio cable. • If you turn the projector on immediately after turning it off, the cooling fans may run at high speed momentarily and cause an unexpected noise. This is normal. Solutions to Problems with the Remote Control Solutions to Password Problems Parent topic: Solving Problems Solutions to Projector Power or Shut-Off Problems If the projector does not come on when you press the power button or it shuts off unexpectedly, try the following solutions: • Make sure the power cord is securely connected to the projector and to a working electrical outlet. • The projectors buttons may be locked for security. Unlock the buttons or use the remote control toturn on the projector. • If the projectors lamp shuts off unexpectedly, it may have entered standby mode after a period of inactivity. Press the power button to wake the projector and adjust the Sleep Mode Timer setting to change the sleep interval. • If the projectors lamp shuts off, the Status light is flashing blue, and the Temp light is orange, the projector has overheated and shut off. Check the solutions for this light status. • If the power button on the remote control does not turn on the projector, check its batteries and make sure the Remote Receiver setting is turned on in the projectors menu, if available. • The power cord may be defective. Try another power cord. If that doesnt work, disconnect the cord and contact Epson.
