    Adjust the pr ojection size.
    The siz e of the projected image is basically deter mined by 
    the distance from the projectors lens to the screen.
    The height from the centre of the lens to the bottom of  
    the screen will v ary depending on the lens shift setting.

    Ref er to the tab le below to the projector so that the images are 
    projected onto the screen at the optim um size. 
    When suspending the  
    projector from a ceiling,  
    change the configur ation 
    men u settings .
    Avoid setting the projector up in places which are v ery dusty such as 
    bedrooms .
    Clean the air filter at least once e ver y 3 months .
    Clean the air filter more frequently if using the projector in a dusty  
    environment.
    When installing against a w all, leave a space of 20 cm (7.9 in.) or more betw een the 
    projector and the w all.
    A special method of installation is required in order to suspend the pro\
    jector from a ceiling.
    Please contact your dealer if you would lik e to use this installation method.
    Centre of lensThe lens shift adjustment can be used to position the image without dist\
    or ting it 
    and is especially useful when using the projector in the following locations .
    Hanging from a ceiling
    A screen in a high location
    Projector situated to the side so that the screen can be vie wed sitting r ight in front of it
    Projector situated on a shelf , etc.

    Installing the cab le cover
    Once the video equipment or computer has been connected, y ou can 
    then install the cab le cover that is included with the projector to co ver 
    the connectors f or a neat appear ance.
    Installation
    Inser t the tw o tabs inside the cab le cover into the
    notches in the projector .
    Secure the cable cover b y tightening the tw o fixing 
    scre ws.

    You can use a Phillips 
    scre wdriver or a coin to tighten 
    the fixing scre ws.
    Remo val
    Loosen the fixing scre ws until 
    the y come a way from the 
    projector , and then lift up the 
    cab le co ver to remo ve it.

    Tur n the po wer off f or both the projector and the signal source bef ore connecting them. If the power f or 
    either de vice is on at the time of connection, damage ma y result.
    Check the shapes of the cab le connectors and the de vice ports before making the connections . If y ou tr y to 
    f orce a connector to fit a de vice port with a diff erent shape or n umber of terminals, a malfunction or damage 
    to the connector or por t may result.

    If dela ys in the responsiv eness of the remote control occur or if it does 
    not oper ate after it has been used f or some time, it probably means that 
    the batter ies are becoming flat.  If this happens, replace the batter ies 
    with tw o new batter ies. Use tw o new AA alkaline batter ies as 
    replacement batter ies.

    Remove the batter y cover .Inser t the batter ies.
    Check the (+) and (-) indications inside  
    the battery compartment and insert the  
    batteries so that the y face correctly .
    Install the batter y cover .
    Insert the tab .
    Press down until the battery

    Turning the po wer off
    Attach the lens co ver .
    Attach the lens co ver when not using the projector in order to 
    k eep the lens free from dust and other foreign objects.
    Disconnect the cab les that are connecting other 
    equipment to the projector .
    Tur n the po wer off f or the signal sources that are connected to the projector .

    n oth in g is  b lo ck in g th e a ir  v e nt, a nd c le an o r r e pla ce  t h e 
    a ir  fil t e r.  is  d is p la ye d, p re ss        o r        to  tu rn  th e  p ow er

    Y ou cannot use the remote control or the projectors control panel during\
     cool-do wn 
    (tak es approximately 30 seconds).
    After cool-do wn is complete, the      indicator changes to steady orange and the 
    projector goes to standby mode.
    The      indicator will flash orange and the cool-do wn period will start.
    When the projector will not be used for long time, 
    disconnect the po wer cab le from the electr ical outlet.
    Always mak e sure that the projector is in the standby condition 
    before disconnecting the plug.  After the power plug is 
    disconnected, the      indicator will continue to light for a brief  
    period and then it will turn of f.
    If the projector is on a surface such as a tabletop, the surf ace of the tab le near the air 
    e xhaust v ent will become hot.

    Press      on the remote control or        on the  
    projector .
    If you press      , the message sho wn right will be 
    displayed, so press       ag ain.
    You can project a test patter n at times such as when setting up the projector in order 
    to correct k eystone correction and to mak e line menu adjustments .
    If            on the remote control is pressed, the patter n selection menu appears.
    If you press      , the adjustment icon will appear on the image .
    Press        and        to adjust the focus.
    Press       once more to complete the adjustment.
    Zoom adjustment and f ocus adjustment are perf ormed after the lamp lights .
    If y ou push        or        once it adjusts one step , and holding it down adjusts 
    it contin uously.
    If the projected images are tilted hor izontally , use the front adjustab le feet to adjust the projector 
    so that it is hor izontal.When y ou wish to adjust the projection abo ve or belo w the range of lens 
    shift adjustment set the projector at an angle .
    When the projector is angled, the projected image ma y distort into a 
    tr apez oid. In such cases , press         (      )        (      ) on the projectors 
    control panel to adjust the images .
    However , the image quality will decrease compared to if the lens shift 
    function is used.
    When the lens is shifted to the left or r ight, complete keystone correction is 
    not possib le.   When making k eystone corrections set the lens at the centre 
    left to r ight.
    This can be used to chec k whether the projector is 
    tilted or set up v ertically in front of the screen.

    When the lens shift dial is tur ned, a point of resistance will be f elt.
    This indicates the approximate centre point for the range of adjustment.  In 
    addition, if the lens shift dial becomes hard to tur n further and the image 
    position stops changing, no fur ther adjustment is possible.

    If you press      , the adjustment icon will appear on the image .

    Press       once more to complete the adjustment.
    Keystone distor tion can be corrected within a 
    maxim um vertical angle of appro ximately 15°.

    if adjustment is not possib le, it means that Zoom Loc k or Focus

    This is used when adjusting br ightness or when 
    adjusting image quality or colour tone .  The adjustment 
    is made using the line men u. Adjustments other than 
    br ightness are not possib le when no image signals 
    are being input.

    connected to the projector , you ma y need to use k eyboard or 
    function settings to change the output destination.  While holding

    This projector has a Loc k Setting function for
