89 USB Connection Setup In order to control the projector using ESC/VP21 commands, you need to connect the projector and the computer using a USB cable. You need to carry out the following preparations before a USB connection can be made. Procedure 1Download the EMP Link21L utility software from the EPSON web site. For details on acquiring the software, please contact one of the service offices listed in the catalog. 2The USB driver (USB-Com Driver) will be downloaded together with the utility software, so install this USB driver into the computer that is to be used. Refer to the EMP Link21L Users Guide that is downloaded together with the utility software for instructions on installing the USB driver. 3Change the Link 21L setting in the Advanced menu to ON. 4Turn off the power for the projector. 5After the cool-down period has finished, turn the projectors power back on. Once the projectors power has turned back on, communication via a USB Connection will then be possible.
