82 Connecting with USB Cable for Projection (USB Display)The projector can project computer images when connected via the supplied USB cable to a Windows computer. This function is called USB Display. Computer images can quickly be projec ted simply by connecting with a USB cable. How to Connect (For EB-W6) AttentionDo not connect via a USB hub: conn ect the projector directly to the computer. Procedure Connects to the powe r cable (supplied).Turn the power on for the projector.Open the A/V mute slide. Connect the supplied USB cable. Connecting with USB Cable for Projection (USB Display) 84 fWhen connecting fo r the first time When you are using Windows 2000, double-click My Computer - EPSON_PJ_UD - EMP_UDSE.EXE, on your computer.A Driver installation starts automatically.When using user authorization with a Windows 2000 computer, a Windows error message may be displayed and installation may not be possible. In this case, update Windows to the latest status and then reconnect. For more details, contact the nearest address provided in the Support and Service Guide . s Epson Projector Contact List B Select Agree.You cannot run USB Display if the dr iver is not installed. Be sure to select Agree. If you want to cancel installation, select Disagree. C Computer images are projected.It may take a little time before computer images are projected. Until computer images are projecte d, leave the equipment as it is and do not disconnect the USB cable or turn off the power to the projector. q When images are not projected, click All Programs - EPSON Projector - EPSON USB Display - EPSON USB Display Vx.x. When automatic installation is not performed, double- click EMP_UDSE.EXE un der My Computer - EPSON_PJ_UD. 90 Using Slideshow (EB-W6 only)You can make presentations by connecting the projector to a digital camera, USB storage device or SD card. The image files stored on these devices can be pr ojected directly. This makes projection easy, since it is not necessary to connect a computer. Image Files that can be Projected in a Slideshow The image files that can be projected in a slideshow are as follows. Basic Slideshow Operations The following explains the basi c operating method for Slideshow. The following operations are all perf ormed by remote control. Therefore the button names refer to but tons on the remote control. fStarting Slideshow Slideshow starts automatical ly when the projector is connected to a USB storage device or SD card. Refer to the following for how to c onnect a USB storage device or SD card. Connecting a USB storage device: sp.79 Connecting a SD card: sp.80 Type File type (extension) Comment Still images only .jpg Shall be JPEG files that support the Exif standard. Images with a resolution above 8176 x 6144 cannot be projected. The horizontal/vertical pixel count of the image shall be multiples of 8. q USB storage devices that have a security function cannot be used. Due to the characteristics of JPEG files, if the compression ratio is high th e image may not be projected properly. Movie files cannot be projected. Procedure q During projection of images from another source, the projector will switch to the devi ce you connect as soon as you press the [Slideshow] button.
