Replacing the Air Filter You need to replace the air filter if: ■You cannot remove the dust from it ■The air filter is damaged or torn ■You repeatedly see a projected message telling you to clean or replace it Contact your dealer or call Epson at 800-GO-EPSON (800-463-7766) to obtain a new air filter. Replacing the Lamp The life span of the projection lamp is about 4000 hours if Power Consumption in the Settings menu is Normal (default), and 5000 hours if this setting is ECO. See page 65 to check the lamp usage. Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. 2. Let the projector cool for at least an hour (if it has been on). The lamp is extremely hot immediately after use. 3. Maintaining the Projector65 Resetting the Lamp Timer After you replace the lamp, you need to reset the lamp timer using the projector’s menu system. 1. Press the Menu button on the remote control or on the projector’s control panel. You see the main menu. 2. Select the Reset menu and press Enter. You see this screen: 3.
