13 Using the Projector Follow the instructions in this section to choose a location for the projector, adjust the image and volume, turn off picture and sound, freeze the action, or use the projector menus. Choosing a Location The distance from the projector to the screen or wall determines the size of the picture. The picture will be larger when you place the projector further from the screen. 16 Adjusting the Volume Use the control panel to adjust the volume of the projector’s audio system or speakers connected directly to the projector’s Audio ports: ■Press the button to decrease the volume. ■Press the button to increase the volume. Turning Off the Picture and Sound You can use the A/V Mute button on the remote control to darken your screen and turn off the sound. 17 Using the Projector’s Menu System You can use the projector’s on-screen menus to fine-tune the image quality, check lamp usage, and customize projector features: ■The Image menu controls the look and quality of the picture.
