16Setting Up the Projector Positioning the Projector Before connecting the projector, you need to decide where to place it. If you’re setting up the projector yourself and it isn’t already installed in the room you’re using, you’ll probably want to place it on a table in front of the screen, as shown. This lets you stand in the front of the room, face the audience, and remain close enough to the equipment to be able to control it. Try to leave as much space as possible between the projector and...

If the projector isn’t positioned this way, the image will be “keystone” shaped, instead of square or rectangular. If you place the projector below the level of the screen, you’ll have to tilt it up by extending the front adjustable foot, as described on page 39.
