However, you should do the following: p Clean the lens so dirt or smears don’t appear on the screen. p Clean the projector case when necessary. p Periodically clean the air filter at the bottom and rear of the projector. A clogged air filter can block ventilation needed to keep the projector from overheating. p Replace the lamp and air filter as needed. (If any other part needs replacing, contact your dealer or a qualified service person.)

Cleaning the Air Filter 133 Cleaning the Air Filter Clean the air filter at the bottom of the projector after every 100 hours of use. If it isn’t cleaned periodically, it can become clogged with dust, preventing proper ventilation. This can cause overheating and damage the projector. To clean the air filter, follow these steps: 1.
