Insert the ROM module horizontally into the slot until the clip comes out. c Caution: ❏Do not force the ROM module into the socket. ❏Be sure to insert the ROM module in the correct direction. ❏Never remove the ROM module installed on the standard ROM socket (P).

312Installing Options 6. Reattach the cover to the back side of the printer and secure it with the four screws. 7. Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer on. To confirm that the option is installed correctly, print a Status Sheet. See Printing a Status Sheet on page 370.
