3-5-2-5 Port Forwarding This function allows you to redirect a single port or consecutive ports of Internet IP address to the same port of the IP address on local network. 3-5-2-6 DMZ Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a special area in your local network. This area resides in local network, and all computers in this area uses private IP address, too. But these private IP addresses are mapped to a certain Internet IP address, so other people on Internet can fully access those computers in DMZ. Chapter IV: EZ View Many network devices like printer, IP camera, and multi-media adapters support UPnP (Universal PnP) function. Those UPnP-compatible devices can communicate with each other, and make appropriate configurations. This broadband router is capable to scan the local network and find all UPnP-compatible devices out, you can get a list of all UPnP devices on network, and you can connect to the administration interface of these devices from web interface directly. EZView also helps you to set the name and IP address of UPnP-compatible network devices, and control its bandwidth usage. You can also set special network functions like DMZ and port forwarding for a specific UPnP-compatible devices. To use EZ View, please follow the following instructions: 1. click ‘EZ View’ button from main menu:
2. A pop-up window (or new web browser tab) will appear to show that broadband router is scanning for UPnP devices on network, please wait for 30 seconds until ‘OK’ button appears. Click ‘OK’ button to continue.
3. All UPnP-compatible devices found on the network will be listed here, with the category it belongs to and its name. (For network devices not manufactured by Edimax, or earlier non-PnP Edimax products, the category and name will not be able to displayed).
