23 3.Projecting an Image (Basic Operation) This section describes how to turn on the projector and to project a picture onto the screen. Turning on the Projector NOTE: • The projector has two power switches: a main power switch and a POWER (ON/STAND BY) button. • When plugging in or unplugging the supplied power cable, make sure that the main power switch is pushed to the off ( ) position. This menu gives you the opportunity to select one of the 8 menu languages. To select a menu language, follow these steps: 1. Projecting an Image (Basic Operation) Detecting the Signal Automatically Press and hold the SOURCE button for a minimum of 1 second, the projector will search for the next available input source. Each time you press and hold the SOURCE button for a minimum of 1 second, the source will change as follows: 8771 Computer 1 →Computer 2 → Video → S-Video →Computer 1 → ... Lift the front edge of the projector to center the image vertically. * If the projected image does not appear square to the screen then use the Keystone feature for proper adjustment. See page 29. 29 Correcting Keystone Distortion Auto Keystone Correction The Auto Keystone correction feature will correct the vertical distortion of a projected image on the screen. No special operation required. Just put the projector on a flat surface. Note that the vertical keystone angle can be corrected between 30 degrees upward and 30 degrees downward of projector tilt from level. 3.
