Turn off the power to your projector and DVD Player. 2. Connect one end of the Component V cable to your DVD player and the other end to the RGB1 input on the projector. Alternatively, use a D-Sub 15 Pin cable to connect to the RGB2 input. 3. Turn on the projector and the DVD player. Refer to your DVD users manual for more information about your equipmentÕs video and audio output requirements. Connecting a PC or Macintosh Computer Connecting your PC or Macintosh computer to the projector allows you project the output onto a large screen for presentations. 1. Turn off the power to your projector and computer. 2. Use an RGB cable to connect your computer to the projector (an RGB cable is supplied with the SHOWlite 4000gv projector). 3. Turn on the projector and the computer. If the projector goes blank after a period of inactivity, it may be caused by a screen saver installed on the computer. Refer to your computers users manual for more information about your equipmentÕs video and audio output requirements. Connecting to a PC with DVI Output - SHOWlite 3000sx The DVI (digital) input accepts signals up to SXGA@60Hz. SXGA signals \ with a clock signal of 110MHz or over cannot be supported. The Auto Adjust feature does not work for DVI digital signals. Connecting to a PC with DVI Output - SHOWlite 4000gv The DVI (digital) input accepts the XGA signal produced from DVI equipment however a DVI cable will be required. The Auto Adjust feature does not work for DVI digital signals. When a DVI signal is selected and the image position is not correct, adjust the horizontal and vertical position using the Pixel/Clock screen. Turn off the power to your projector and workstation. 2. Use a BNC x 5 cable to connect your workstation and the RGB1 connector on your projector. 3. Turn on the projector and workstation. BNC x 5 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS To reduce unnecessary radiation of electromagnetic waves, fit the optional ferrite core to one end of the BNC cable. 1. Open and attach the ferrite core to a signal cable as close as possible to the projector end of the cable. Close the ferrite core tightly. 2. Fix the optional band to the cable as a stopper. Pull the end of the band to tighten it and cut off the remaining band. Connecting an External Monitor - SHOWlite 3000sx You can connect a separate, external monitor to your SHOWlite 3000sx projector to simultaneously view the RGB analog or component image you are displaying on the projector. 1. Turn off the power to the projector, monitor and computer. 2. Use a 15pin cable to connect your monitor to the ANALOG OUTPUT (Mini D- Sub 15 pin) connection on the projector. 3. Turn on the projector, monitor and computer. - -The ANALOG OUTPUT connector outputs RGB signal during standby. When the projector is placed into standby mode the external monitor will disappear for a moment. The DVI DIGITAL OUTPUT connector outputs all input signals. This connector is designed for Link Mode only. Do not connect any other equipment other than another projector to this connector. Turn off the power to the projector, monitor and computer. 2. Use a 15pin cable to connect your RGB monitor to the RGB MONITOR OUTPUT connection on the projector. 3. Turn on the projector, Monitor and computer. The MONITOR OUTPUT connector outputs RGB signal during standby. When the projector is placed into standby mode the external monitor will disappear for a moment. The DVI digital output signal from the MONITOR OUTPUT connector is not available.
