System Setup Options
Y
ou may want to customize the configuration of your computer. This appen-
dix describes how to change the system setup options stored in NVRAM on the 
system board.
You can access these options in two ways:
•Using the Dell Control Center
•Using the MS-DOS–based version of the system setup options, called the 
System Setup program

NOTE: If the System Setup program is running when the computer enters sus-
pend mode, the computer exits the System Setup program and then activates 
suspend mode.
To enter the System Setup program, hold down the

DISPLAY TIME-OUTDetermines how long computer operates with-
out detecting I/O activity before display is

INTELLISPINCompensates for unbalanced CDs that cause the 
computer to vibrate when the CD-ROM drive is 
in use. Allows use of discs that might otherwise 
be unreadable. Available for CD-ROM drives

run at the highest speed.
