Back Language Press to go back to the main menu. Allows you to set the OSD display to one of eight languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese or Russian. Menu Transparency Allows you to adjust the OSD background from opaque to transparent. Menu Timer Allows you to set the time for which the OSD remains active after you press a key on the monitor. Use the and keys to adjust the slider in 1 second increments, from 5 to 60 seconds. Menu Lock Controls user access to adjustments. When Lock is selected, no user adjustments are allowed. All keys are locked except NOTE: When the OSD is locked, pressing the menu key takes you directly to the OSD settings menu, with OSD Lock pre hold key for 15 seconds to unlock and allow user access to all applicable settings. DDC/CI DDC/CI (Display Data Channel/Command Interface) allows a software on your computer to adjust the monitor display settings like the brightness, color balance etc. Enable (Default): Optimizes the performance of your monitor and provides a better customer experience. Disable : Disables the DDC/CI option and the following message appears on the screen. NOTE: For best user experience and optimum performance of your monitor, keep this feature enabled. LCD Conditioning This feature will help reduce minor cases of image retention. If an image appears to be stuck on the monitor, select LCD Conditioning to help eliminate any image retention. Using the LCD Conditioning feature may take some time. LCD Conditioning feature cannot remove severe cases of image retention or burn in. NOTE: Use LCD Conditioning only when you experience a problem with image retention. The below warning message appears once user selects “ Enable LCD Conditioning.
OSD Warning Messages Factory Reset Resets all OSD settings to the factory preset values . Personalize User can select from Preset Modes, Brightness/Contrast, Auto Adjust, Input Source and set as shortcut key 1 and 2. Back Press to go back to the main menu. See Solving Problems for more information. Setting the Maximum Resolution To set the Maximum resolution for the monitor: 1. Right - click on the desktop and select Properties . 2. Select the Settings tab. 3. Set the screen resolution to 1440x900 ( E1910 ) or 1680x1050 ( E2210 ). 4. Click OK . This means that the monitor cannot synchronize with the signal that it is receiving from the computer. See Monitor Specifications for the Horizontal and Vertical frequency ranges addressable by this monitor. Recommended mode is 1440x900 ( E1910 )/1680x1050 ( E2210 ). You will see the following message before the DDC/CI function is disabled. When the monitor enters the Power Save mode, the following message appears: Activate the computer and wake up the monitor to gain access to the OSD If you press any button other than the power button, the following messages will appear depending on the selected input: If VGA or DVI cable is not connected, a floating dialog box as shown below appears. or
If you do not see 1440x900 ( E1910 ) or 1680x1050 ( E2210 ) as an option, you may need to update your graphics driver. Depending on your computer, complete one of the following procedures: l If you have a Dell desktop or portable computer: Go to support.dell.com , enter your service tag, and download the latest driver for your graphics card. l If you are using a non - Dell computer (portable or desktop): Go to the support site for your computer and download the latest graphic drivers. Go to your graphics card website and download the latest graphic drivers. Using the Dell Soundbar (Optional) The Dell Soundbar is a stereo two channel system, mountable on Dell Flat Panel Displays. The Soundbar has a rotary volume and on/off control to adjust the overall system level, a LED for power indication, and two audio headset jacks. Back to Contents Page Setting Up Your Monitor E1910/E2210 Flat Panel Monitor Setting the display resolution to 1440x900 (E1910 Maximum) or 1680x1050 (E2210 Maximum) For optimal display performance, while using the Microsoft Windows ® operating systems, set the display resolution to 1440x900 ( E1910 ) or 1680x1050 ( E2210 ) pixels by performing the following steps: 1. Right - click on the desktop and click Properties . 2. Select the Settings tab. 3. Move the slider - bar to the right by pressing and holding the left mouse button and adjust the screen resolution to 1440x900 ( E1910 ) or 1680x1050 ( E2210 ). 4. Click OK . If you do not see 1440x900 ( E1910 ) or 1680x1050 ( E2210 ) as an option, you may need to update your graphics driver. Remove the cover and place the monitor on it. 2. Fit the two tabs on the upper part of the stand to the groove on the back of the monitor. 3. Press the stand till it snaps into its place. Connecting Your Monitor To connect your monitor to the computer: 1. Turn off your computer and disconnect the power cable. Connect the blue (VGA) cable from your monitor to your computer. 2. Connect either the white (digital DVI - D) or the blue (analog VGA) display connector cable to the corresponding video port on the back of your computer. Do not use both cables on the same computer. Use both the cables only when they are connected to two different computers with appropriate video systems. NOTE: The stand is detached when the monitor is shipped from the factory. WARNING: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the Safety Instructions . NOTE: If your computer supports a white DVI connector, connect the white DVI cable (that ships with your monitor) to the monitor and the DVI connector on your computer. NOTE: Do not connect both the blue VGA and the white DVI cables to the computer as all monitors ship with the VGA cable attached to the monitor.

to organize all cables as shown above. Attaching the Soundbar(optional) To attach the Soundbar: Removing the Stand To remove the stand: 1. Rotate the stand to allow access to the stand release button. 2. P ress and hold the stand release button. 3. Lift the stand up and away from the monitor. Wall Mounting (Optional) CAUTION: Do not use with any device other than Dell Soundbar. 1. Working from the back of the monitor, attach Soundbar by aligning the two slots with the two tabs along the bottom of the monitor. 2. Slide the Soundbar to the left until it snaps into place. 3. Connect the Soundbar with the power brick. 4. Plug the power cable of the brick to a nearby power outlet. 5. Insert the lime - green mini stereo plug from the rear of the Soundbar into the computers audio output jack. NOTE: To prevent scratches on the LCD screen while removing the stand, ensure that the monitor is placed on a clean surface.
(Screw dimension: M4 x 10mm). Refer to the instructions that come with the base mounting kit. To convert your LCD display from a desk - mounted to a wall - mounted display, do the following: 1. Verify that the power button is turned Off, then disconnect the power cord. 2. Lay the LCD display face down on a soft cloth. 3. Remove the stand assembly from the back of the LCD display by pressing quick release button. 4. Attach the mounting bracket from the VESA compatible wall mounting kit (100 mm x 100 mm distance). 5.
