Christie’s Matrix Series – Synonymous with Simulation Christie’s new Matrix Series simulation solutions are purpose-built projectors designed to meet the specific requirements of the simulation market. As technologies change and the demands of the simulation and training markets increase, the need for lower cost simulation systems with higher resolution and higher brightness is prevalent. The Matrix 2500 is a purpose-built 3-chip 1.8 LCD simulation projector. Featuring 2500 ANSI lumens, the Matrix 2500 is ideal for daytime simulation environments and high ambient light conditions. Images on-screen are depicted with the precise clarity of true SXGA resolution (1280x1024) based on 3 x 1.8 p-Si AM TFT LCD panels. With a contrast ratio of over 700:1, night-mode simulation is portrayed accurately. The Matrix 2500 is also compatible with all most-used source resolutions and can connect to virtually every computer or video source. With Minimum Processing Latency (MPL™), less than one frame delay enables extremely fast simulator response time to user’s commands for high quality, realistic real-time images. Inherent in the Matrix Series, the Matrix 2500 is quick to set up with an intuitive GUI and virtual plug and play operation with a universal power supply that auto adjusts. Christie’s Digital Color Management (DCM™) system offers a specially designed optical system with very tight tolerance for primary colors and together with the Custom Gamma Adjustment (CGA™) ensures the true color representation, color matching and uniformity across multi-screen images in simulation applications. The Matrix 2500 features Color Select Filter (CSF™) to ensure all three colors are identically polarized. Two stacked Matrix 2500 units can beused with linear or circular polarization kits for passive stereo applications. Dual 100W UHP lamps with a rated life of 8000 hours (16,000 hours in single lamp mode and lamp sequential operation) and Lamp Power Management (LPM™) provide reliability, failsafe operation, and lower power consumption which translate into a lower cost of operation. The ruggedized design withstands 3G vibration in all three axes, making Christie’s Matrix 2500 the reality for simulation.
