    L2K1500 Filter Replacement
    Instruction Sheet
    INTRODUCTION
    These instructions outline the details for Filter replacement in the L2K1500 projector (Model No. 103-
    032106-XX). NOTICE: Use only a Christie approved Filter Kit for your specific projector model.
    KITS REQUIRED
    003-003792-XX (Replacement Auto Filter)
    INSTRUCTIONS
    REPLACING THE FILTER CARTRIDGE 
    IMPORTANT: It is recommended to replace the Auto Filter between 10,000 - 14,000 hours, 
    depending on environment.
    1. Press the Side Control ON/STANDBY button twice to switch the projector OFF. Let the projector 
    cool for at least 45 minutes (READY indicator will be green).
    2. Switch the Main ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the AC power cord from the AC outlet. 
    3. Clean the dust from the projector and around the air vents. 
    4. Loosen the screws that secure the Active Maintenance 
    Cleaner (AMC) unit, then remove. See 
    Figure 1.

    5. Loosen the screws that secure Holder A and B, then slide 
    forward. See 
    Figure 2.
    6. Insert fingers into the slits to remove filters. See 
    Figure 3. 
    NOTE: Remove filters individually.
    7. Place a new electrostatic honeycomb filter on top of the 
    mesh filter as shown in 
    Figure 4. NOTE: If applicable, 
    clean the dust from the mesh filter and frame.
    8. Place a new electrostatic pleated filter on top of the 
    honeycomb filter. See 
    Figure 4.
    9. Place the A and B holder on top of the electrostatic 
    pleated filter and secure with screws, as shown in 
    Figure 4. NOTE: Ensure the filters are properly and 
    fully inserted. 
    10. Align the AMC and the A and B holder arrows.
    11. Insert the AMC unit and secure with the screws.
    12. Connect the AC power cord to the projector and switch the Main ON/OFF Switch to ON.
    13. Press the ON-STANDBY button to switch the projector ON.
    14. Reset the Filter counter. Refer to
     Resetting the Filter Counter .
    NOTICES: 1) Make sure the filter cartridge is correctly inserted into the projector otherwise, the 
    projector cannot be turned on. Do not block the air vents. Doing so may result in malfunction of the 
    projector. 2) It is recommended that dusty/smoky environments are avoided when operating the 
    projector. Usage in these environments may cause poor image quality. 
    When using the projector under dusty or smoky conditions, dust may accumulate on a lens, liquid 
    crystal panels, or optical elements inside the projector. Such conditions may degrade the quality of the 
    projected image. When the symptoms above are noticed, contact your authorized dealer or service 
    station for proper cleaning.

    RESETTING THE FILTER COUNTER 
    Make sure the Filter counter is reset after the filter cartridge is replaced. See Figure 5. 
    1. Press the MENU button to display the On-Screen Menu. Use the Point   buttons to move the 
    red frame pointer to the Setting Menu icon. 
    2. Use the Point   buttons to move the red frame pointer to Filter counter and then press the 
    SELECT button. A dialog box appears showing the Used time option and the Scrolls remaining 
    option. Use the Point   buttons to select Used time. 
    3. Used time shows the total accumulated time of the filter use, a timer setting option, and the Reset 
    option. Select Reset and the “Filter counter Reset?” appears. Select [Yes] to continue. 
    4. In the confirmation dialog box, select [Yes] to reset the Filter counter.
