First, charge the batteries!
2.Load the batteries (page 37).
•Note that you can also power the camera
using commercially available AA-size lithium
batteries and AA-size alkaline batteries.
1.Charge the rechargeable nickel-metal hydride
batteries (HR-3U) that come with the camera (page
33).
• It takes about four hours to achieve a full charge.

2.Point the camera at the subject, use the monitor
screen or viewfinder to compose the image, and
then press the shutter release button half way.
When proper focus is achieved, the focus frame turns green
and the green operation lamp lights.
3.Holding the camera still, gently press the shutter
release button.
