    Maintenance and CleaningAppendix 
    Troubleshooting
    Before calling your dealer or service center for assistance, check the i\
    tems below once again.
    –  Make sure you have properly connected the projector to peripheral equip\
    ment as described on pages 18-20. 
    –  Make sure all equipment is connected to AC outlet and the power is turned on.
    –  When the projector does not project an image from the connected compute\
    r, restart the computer.

    No powerPlug the power cord of the projector into the AC outlet.
    See if the POWER indicator lights red.
    Wait until the POWER indicator stops blinking to turn on the 
    projector again. The projector can be turned on after the 
    POWER indicator turns red.

    indicator lights red, projector can not be turned on.

    monitor output when connecting to a projector. See your 
    computer’s instruction manual for the setting.
    It takes about 30 seconds to display an image after turning on 
    the projector.

    Check the Input signal, color system, video system or 
    computer system mode.
    Make sure the temperature is not out of the specified 
    Operating Temperature (41˚F–104˚F [5˚C–40˚C]).
    When Blank is operating, the image can not be displayed. 
    Press the BLANK button or any other button on the remote 
    controller.
    Image is Left/Right reversed.Check the Ceiling/Rear function.42, 49

    Check the projection window to see if it needs cleaning.68
    Moving the projector from a cool to warm place may result in 
    moisture condensation on the projection lens. In such cases, 
    leave the projector off and wait until condensation evaporates.
    Picture is not bright enough.Check if the Contrast or Brightness is adjusted properly. 39, 46
    Check if Image mode is selected properly.38
    Check the Lamp mode function.30, 60
    Check the LAMP REPLACE indicator. If it lights, the end of 
    lamp life is approaching. Replace the lamp with a new one

    the remote controller. Maximum operating range is 16.4'(5 m). 
    Make sure the code of the remote controller is conformed to 
    the projector’s code.

    WARNING :
    High voltages are used to operate this projector . Do not attempt to open the cabinet .
    If problems still persist after following all operating instructions, co\
    ntact the dealer where you purchased the 
    projector or the service center. Specify the model number and explain about the problem. We will advise you 
    how to obtain service.

    selected.

    The projector is off. (The AC power cord is 
    unplugged.)
    
    The projector is in stand-by mode. Press the POWER 
    button to turn on the projector.
    
    The projector is operating normally. 
    
    The projector is preparing for stand-by or the 
    projection lamp is being cooled down. The projector 
    can not be turned on until cooling is completed and 
    the POWER indicator stops blinking.
    
    The projector is in the Power management mode. 
    The projector is in 3D display mode.
    Abnormal Condition
    
    The temperature inside the projector is abnormally 
    high. The projector can not be turned on. When the 
    projector is cooled down enough and the temperature 
    returns to normal, the POWER indicator stops 
    blinking and the projector can be turned on. (The 
    WARNING TEMP. indicator keeps blinking.) 
    
    The projector has been cooled down enough and 
    the temperature returns to normal. When turning on 
    the projector, the WARNING TEMP. indicator stops 
    blinking.
    
    The projector detects an abnormal condition and can 
    not be turned on. Unplug the AC power cord and 
    plug it again to turn on the projector. If the projector 
    is turned off again, unplug the AC power cord and 
    contact the dealer or the service center for service 
    and checkup. Do not leave the projector on. It may 
    cause an electric shock or a fire hazard.
    
    The lamp has been used overtime. Replace the lamp 
    immediately and then reset the lamp counter. The 
    indicator will be turned off after resetting the counter.

    Basically this projector can accept the signal from all computers with t\
    he V-, H- Frequency mentioned 
    below and less than 150 MHz of Dot Clock.
      When selecting these modes, PC adjustment can be limited.

    •  Depending on your PC settings, the digital signals of your PC may not be projected correctly . In such a 
    case, confirm your PC settings.
    •  When you project a DVI signal, connect the cables, turn the projector on, then select the input. Finally , 
    turn on your PC. Be sure to follow this procedure, otherwise an image ma\
    y not be projected on the 
    screen. If an image is not projected correctly, restart your PC.
    •  Do not disconnect the cable while the projector is running. If the cable has been disconnected and then 
    reconnected, an image may not be correctly projected.
