Use thePage Setupdialog box to specify the paper size settings.

For the best print quality, specify the minimum requirement settings in thePrintdialog box. To get the
best results, ensure you select the type of media loaded in the printer when printing on paper other than
plain paper.
(1) Media TypeSelect the type of media loaded in the printer.
(2) Print ModeSelect the type of document you want to print.
To specify more detailed settings for the print quality or color, select
Manualand clickDetails.
(3) PrintClick this to start printing.

SelectShow Balloonsin theHelpmenu for an explanation of each of the items in the setting
screen. To see the explanation, point to the item with the mouse.

Print Head Maintenance

Perform print head cleaning to improve the print quality. Ensure that the printer is turned on and follow
the instructions below.
Windows
Open the printer driver settings screen and click theMaintenancetab. ClickCleaning.
See page 12 for details on how to open the setting screen.
 Macintosh
Open thePage Setupdialog box and clickUtilities.ClickCleaning.

Replace the empty ink tank with a new one.
Specify the following ink tanks when purchasing.

problem with the USB driver installation.
Try reinstalling the printer driver.
