51 APPENDIX Remote control unit does not work.●Check the batteries. ● Check if the ALL-OFF switch on the remote control unit is set to “ON.\ ” ● Make sure there is no obstruction in between the Infrared remote receive\ r of the projector and the remote control unit. ● Make sure you are not too far from the projector when using the remote c\ ontrol unit. Maximum operating range is 5 m (16.4’). ● Check the remote control code in the remote control unit. (See page 41.\ ) ● Check if the remote control keys are locked. (See page 42.) Problem:Try these Solutions Wireless mouse function does not work.● Check the cable connection between the projector and your computer. ● Check the mouse setting on your computer. ● Turn the projector on before turning on a computer. WARNING: High voltages are used to operate this projector. Do not attempt to open the cabinet. If the problem still persists after following all operating instructions\ , contact the sales dealer where you purchased the projector or the service center. Specify the model number \ and explain the difficulty. We will advise you how to obtain service.

(The AC power cord is unplugged.) The projector is ready to be turned on with the POWER button. The Warning Temp. indicator blinks red to let you know the internal temperature of the projector exceeds a normal level. If the temperature goes up further, the projector will be turned off automatically and the Ready indicator goes out. When the projector is cooled down enough and the temperature returns to normal, the READY indicator lights green and the projector can be turned on again. (The WARNING TEMP. indicator keeps blinking.) Check and clean the air filters. P rojector Condition The projector is operating normally. The projector is cooled down enough and the temperature returns to normal. When turning on the projector, the WARNING TEMP. indicator stops blinking. Check and clean the air filters. When this indicator lights orange, replace the projection lamp with a new one promptly. Rese\ t the Lamp replacement counter after replacing the lamp. The projector is in cooling mode. It cannot be turned on until the READY indicator lights green. Projector ConditionLAMP REPLACE orange Indicators READYgreenLAMPred WARNING TEMP.red The projector detects an abnormal condition and cannot be turned on. Unplug the AC power cord and plug it again to turn on the projector. If the projector is turned off again, disconnect the AC power cord and contact the dealer or the service center for service and checkup. Do not leave the projector on. It may cause electric shock or a fire hazard. The projector is in the Power management mode. ✽ ✽ ✽The temperature inside the projector is abnormally high. The lamp cannot light up. (The projector is preparing for stand- by or the projection lamp is in cooling mode. The projector cannot be turned on until the cooling process is completed.) The lamp cannot light up. (The lamp has been cooled down enough and the projector is in stand-by mode and ready to be turned on with the POWER button.) ✽ The projection lamp reaches its end of life. Replace the lamp and then reset the Lamp replacement counter. The indicator is turned off.
