Copying Recordings to an External Video Recorder
In High Definition
Connect the camcorder to Blu-ray Disc recorders and other AVCHD-compatible digital video 
recorders using the supplied USB cable to make perfect copies of your movies in high definition. If the 
external digital video recorder has an SD memory card slot*, you can use the memory card to copy 
your movies without connecting the camcorder.

4 Camcorder: Resume playback.
• By default, onscreen displays will be embedded in the output video signal. You can change this using the  q >  [Output Onscreen Displays] setting.
5 External recorder: Start recording when the scene you wish to copy appears; stop 
recording when it ends.
6 Camcorder: Stop playback.

Using the supplied software  VideoBrowser, you can save your high-defin ition movies and movies you 
converted to standard definition to a computer. Yo u can also use an Eye-Fi card to wirelessly upload 
your movies to your favorite video sharing Web site.
POINTS TO CHECK
• Make sure the su pplied software VideoBrowser  is correctly installed before you connect the 
camcorder to the computer for the first time....

7 When the conversion is completed, a confirmation screen will appear.
• Continue the procedure if you want to connect the camcorder to the computer and save your 
videos immediately.
• Alternatively, you can touch [End Without Connect ing] to connect the camcorder to a computer 
at a later time. When you are ready, set the ca mcorder to   mode and then save your movies 
and SD movies (A 127) using the supplied software  VideoBrowser.

NOTES
• The time required to convert scenes is approx imately equal to the total playback time of the 
converted scenes. In most cases this is still faster  than converting the scenes in the computer so we 
recommend you convert scenes in the camcorder.
• The maximum total playback time of the scenes to  be converted to standard definition is 12 hours.
• Video snapshot scenes and ph otos cannot be captured from scenes converted to standard 
definition.

Uploading your Videos Wirelessly
If you are using an Eye-Fi card, you can automatically upload movies to your favorite video sharing 
Web site. You will need to have in stalled the software supplied with  your Eye-Fi card and completed all 
the required configur ation setup in advance. Refer to the inst ruction manual of the Eye-Fi card. Also, 
note that not all Eye-Fi cards can upload  AVCHD movies. Check compatibility in advance.

• Wireless communication is not available when the optional WM-V1 Wireless Microphone is attached 
to the camcorder. Any wireless transfer in progr ess will be stopped the moment you attach the 
WM-V1 to the camcorder. 
• You can turn off the wire less communication with the  q > [Eye-Fi Communication]* setting.
• If the LOCK switch on the Eye-Fi card is set to pr event writing, you will not be able to turn the 
wireless communication on /off and the status...
