Copying Recordings to an External Video Recorder
In High Definition
Connect the camcorder to Blu-ray Disc recorders and other AVCHD-compatible digital video 
recorders using the supplied USB cable to make perfect copies of your movies in high definition. If the 
external digital video recorder has an SD memory card slot*, you can use the memory card to copy 
your movies without connecting the camcorder.

4 Camcorder: Resume playback.
• By default, onscreen displays will be embedded in the output video signal. You can change the displays by repeatedly pressing  h (0 81).
5 External recorder: Start recording when the scene you wish to copy appears; stop 
recording when it ends.
6 Camcorder: Stop playback.

With the supplied software Transfer Utility, you can upload your scenes to  your favorite video sharing 
Web site. To do so, you must first convert them into standard-definition scenes in the camcorder. With 
the supplied software  VideoBrowser, you can convert and upload high-definition scenes you have 
transferred to your computer.

7 When the conversion is completed, a confirmation screen will appear.
• Connect the camcorder to the computer at this point to continue uploading the converted videos to the Web or touch [End Without Connecting] to connect to the computer later.

• The time required to convert scenes is approximately equal to the total playback time of the  converted scenes. In most cases this is still faster than converting the scenes in the computer so we 
recommend you convert scenes in the camcorder.
• If after converting the scenes you selected the [E nd Without Connecting] option, you will need to 
upload the SD movies manually when you connect the camcorder to the computer. First, open the

Uploading your Videos Wirelessly
If you are using an Eye-Fi card, you can automatically upload the converted SD movies to your favorite 
video sharing Web site. You will need to have installed the software supplied with your Eye-Fi card and 
completed all the required configuration setup in advance. Refer to the instruction manual of the Eye-Fi 
card.
Please read the IMPORTANT section before using an Eye-Fi card.

• You can turn off the wireless communication with the 6   [Eye-Fi Communication]* setting.
• If the LOCK switch on the Eye-Fi card is set to prevent writing, you will not be able to turn the  wireless communication on/off and the status icon will change to  o. To use wireless 
communication make sure the switch on the Eye-Fi card is not in the LOCK position.
* This menu option will appear only when using an Eye-Fi card.
