With a PictBridge printer, you can easily 
print images with DPOF.
1Prepare to print.
See page 320.
Follow the “Connecting the Camera to a Printer” procedure up to step 5.
2Under the [ x1] tab, select [Print order].
3Select [Print].
[Print ] will be displayed only if the camera is connected to a 
printer and printing is possible.
4Set the [Paper settings] (p.322).

You can specify up to 998 images to be printed in a photobook. When 
you use EOS Utility (EOS software) to transfer images to a computer, 
the specified images will  be copied to a dedicated folder. This function 
is useful for ordering photobooks online.
1Select [Photobook Set-up].
Under the [x 1] tab, select 
[Photobook Set-up ], then press 
< 0 >.
2Select [Select images].
 Select [ Select images ], then press 
< 0 >.

You can specify all the images in a folder or on a card at once.
When [x1: Photobook Set-up ] is set 
to [All images in folder ] or [All images 
on card ], all the images in the folder or 
on the card will be specified.
To cancel the image specification, select 
[Clear all in folder ] or [Clear all on 
card ].

your picture-taking preferences with Custom Functions. 
Custom Functions can be set and used only in Creative 
Zone modes.

1Select [Custom Functions (C.Fn)].
Under the [5 4] tab, select [ Custom 
Functions (C.Fn) ], then press .
2Select the Custom Function 
number.
 Press the < Y> < Z> keys to select

Improves the highlight detail.  The dynamic range is expanded from 
the standard 18% gray to bright highlights. The gradation between 
the grays and highlights becomes smoother.
 With setting 1, the Auto Lighting Optimizer (p.136) is automatically set to 
[Disable ] and the setting cannot be changed.

C.Fn-4 AF-assist beam firing
Enables or disables the built-in flash’s AF-assist beam or the EOS-
dedicated external Speedlite’s AF-assist beam.
0: Enable
The AF-assist beam will be emitted when necessary.
1: Disable The AF-assist beam will not be emitted. This prevents the AF-
assist beam from disturbing others.
