Enables or disables the AF-ass ist beam from the EOS-dedicated 
external Speedlite.
ON: Enable
The external Speedlite emits the AF-
assist beam when necessary.
OFF: Disable
The external Speedlite will not emit

You can set the AF operation charac teristics and shutter-release timing 
for One-Shot AF.
: Focus priority
The picture will not be taken until 
focus is achieved. Effective when you 
want to achieve focus before 
capturing the shot.
: Release priority
Priority is given to the timing of 
shutter release instead of achieving 
focus. This gives priority to capturing 
the image rather than achieving 
correct focus.

If focus cannot be achieved with autofocus, you can have the camera 
keep searching for the correct focus or have it stop searching.
ON: Continue focus search
If focus cannot be achieved with 
autofocus, the lens is driven to search 
for the correct focus.
OFF: Stop focus search
If autofocus starts and the focus is far 
off or if focus cannot be achieved, the 
lens drive will not be performed. This 
prevents the lens from becoming 
grossly out of focus due to focus...

You can change the number of manually selectable AF points. If 61-
point automatic selection AF is set, the Area AF frame (entire AF area) 
will be used for AF regardless of the setting below.

separately for each camera orientatio n (1. Horizontal, 2. Vertical with 
the camera grip at the top, 3. Vertical with the camera grip at the
