31 1Remove the caps. Remove the rear lens cap and the body cap by turning them as shown by the arrow. 2Attach the lens. Align the EF-S lens with the camera’s white EF-S lens mount index and turn the lens as shown by the arrow until it clicks in place. 32 Attaching and Detaching a Lens To zoom, turn the zoom ring on the lens with your fingers. If you want to zoom, do it before focusing. Turning the zoom ring after achieving focus may throw off the focus slightly. While pressing the lens release button, turn the lens as shown by the arrow.
