A fully charged battery provides approximately three
hours of use if the Soun dLink™ system is set to
maximum volume. However, the rate of battery
discharge varies with the type of music played and the
volume setting. You can extend the battery operating
time significantly by lowering the volume.
The battery status light on the SoundLink speaker
indicates when charging the battery is necessary.
See “Charging the battery” on page 9.
    Manual battery check
The battery light is normally off to conserve battery
power. To check the charge level, press and hold the
remote Off button and observe the battery light color.
    When to replace the battery
The battery should be replaced when:
The battery status light re mains yellow after 10 hours
    of charging
The period of battery operation decreases
    Battery protection mode
If the SoundLink system is unplugged and unused for
more than 14 days, it enters battery protection mode to
preserve battery power. Your system is in this state when
you first set it up. To reactivate your SoundLink system,
connect the power supply to the SoundLink speaker and
    charge the battery.
