Passwords and locking
There are several types of locks, PINs, and passwords that you can use to help protect your BlackBerry device.

1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.2.Tap  Settings > Security and Privacy > SIM Card.
3.Turn on the SIM Card PIN Lock switch.
4.Type the SIM card PIN that your service provider gave you.
CAUTION: If you exceed the number of allowed attempts to enter the SIM card PIN, your SIM card will stop functioning. To 
unblock your SIM card, contact your service provider.

Set up BlackBerry Protect on your device
Your BlackBerry ID username must be a valid email address.
To use BlackBerry Protect, your BlackBerry device must be connected to a wireless network.
