P\bLARIZED PLUG (120V Models \bnly)
This appliance has a p\flarized plug (\fne blade is wider than the 
\fther). T\f reduce the risk \ff electric sh\fck, this plug is intended t\f fit 
int\f a p\flarized \futlet \fnly \fne way. If the plug d\fes n\ft fit fully int\f 
the \futlet, reverse the plug. If it still d\fes n\ft fit, c\fntact a qualified 
electrician. D\f n\ft attempt t\f m\fdify the plug in any way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: this appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw 
to prevent removal of the outer cover. to reduce the ris\f of fire or 
electric shoc\f, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are 
no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by 
authorized service personnel.
ELECTRICAL C\bRD

be pr\fvided t\f reduce the risk resulting fr\fm bec\fming entangled 
in \fr tripping \fver a l\fnger c\frd.
b)  L\fnger detachable p\fwer-supply c\frds \fr extensi\fn c\frds are 
available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c)  If a l\fng detachable p\fwer-supply c\frd \fr extensi\fn c\frd is used,
1) The marked electrical rating \ff the detachable p\fwer-supply 
c\frd \fr extensi\fn c\frd sh\fuld be at least as great as the 
electrical rating \ff the appliance,
2)  If the appliance is \ff the gr\funded type, the extensi\fn c\frd 
sh\fuld be a gr\funding-type 3-wire c\frd, and
3)  The l\fnger c\frd sh\fuld be arranged s\f that it will n\ft drape 
\fver the c\funtert\fp \fr tablet\fp where it can be pulled \fn by 
children \fr tripped \fver.
Note:  If the p\fwer supply c\frd is damaged, it sh\fuld be replaced by 
qualified pers\fnnel.
How to Use
This pr\fduct is f\fr h\fuseh\fld use \fnly.
GETTING STARTED
•  Wash rem\fvable parts as instructed in CARE AND CLEANING.
•  P\fur fresh c\fld water up t\f Max level mark int\f the water 
reserv\fir.
•  Place permanent filter int\f rem\fvable filter basket. Place basket 
int\f filter basket h\flder.
•  Plug c\frd int\f standard electrical \futlet.
•  Brew water thr\fugh as instructed in BREWING COFFEE, but d\f n\ft 
add c\fffee gr\funds \fr s\fft p\fds. When finished, discard the water 
fr\fm the mug.
BREWING C\bFFEE WITH L\b\bSE GR\bUND C\bFFEE
1.  Lift c\fver. P\fur c\fld water up t\f the Max fill line in the water 
reserv\fir (unless using the instructi\fns in the f\fll\fwing n\fte).
Note: If desired, bef\fre placing mug \fn the mug rest, rem\fve the lid 
fr\fm the travel mug and add sweetener, cream \fr milk t\f the mug 
bef\fre brewing; replace the lid bef\fre placing mug \fn the mug rest. If 
using this tip d\f n\ft fill reserv\fir t\f Max line; leave space in reserv\fir 
t\f all\fw f\fr r\f\fm in mug \fnce c\fffee is brewed.
2.  Place the filter basket int\f the filter basket h\flder at the t\fp \ff 
the c\fffeemaker with the handle t\f the left and the center n\ftch 
resting securely at the center back.
3.  Place the permanent filter int\f the filter basket with the handle t\f 
the right until it rests securely in the filter basket. 
4.  Add gr\fund c\fffee (we rec\fmmend appr\fximately 3 tablesp\f\fns). 
Cl\fse the c\fver.
5.  Place thermal travel mug with the lid securely in place \fn the mug 
rest directly under the filter basket \fpening.
6.  Press the Start switch; the p\fwer indicat\fr light illuminates. The 
c\fffeemaker and p\fwer indicat\fr light turn \fff aut\fmatically when 
brewing is finished. All\fw c\fffee t\f finish dripping fr\fm the unit 
bef\fre rem\fving y\fur travel mug. 
Note: There will be slightly less c\fffee in y\fur travel mug than the 
am\funt \ff water added, as the gr\funds abs\frb s\fme \ff the liquid.
Tip: Y\fur c\fffeemaker can als\f be used t\f brew h\ft water f\fr \fther 
h\ft beverages such as tea, h\ft ch\fc\flate, instant \fatmeal and s\fups. 
T\f brew h\ft water and av\fid c\fffee flav\fr, rem\fve the permanent 
filter and basket and f\fll\fw the brewing pr\fcess (with\fut adding 
gr\funds).
Caution: Be careful when opening the cover after brewing as   
this area is hot and steamy. Use the lift tab located on the front   
of the cover.
BREWING C\bFFEE WITH S\bFT P\bDS
1.  Lift c\fver. P\fur c\fld water up t\f the Max fill line in the water 
reserv\fir (unless f\fll\fwing N\fte after step 1 in  BREWING COFFEE 
WITh L OOSE COFFEE GROUNDS ).
2.  Place \fne s\fft p\fd (70 mm) in the filter basket. Place the sec\fnd 
s\fft p\fd in the permanent filter; we rec\fmmend 2 s\fft p\fds f\fr   
16 \funces.
3.  Place the filled permanent filter and filter basket int\f the c\fffee 
maker as instructed in steps 2 and 3 in Brewing C\fffee with L\f\fse 
C\fffee Gr\funds. Cl\fse the c\fver.
4.  Place the thermal travel mug with the lid securely in place \fn the 
mug rest directly under the filter basket \fpening.
5.  Press the Start switch; the p\fwer indicat\fr light illuminates. The 
c\fffeemaker and p\fwer indicat\fr light turn \fff aut\fmatically when 
brewing is finished. All\fw the c\fffee t\f finish dripping fr\fm the unit 
bef\fre rem\fving y\fur travel mug.  Refer to the information below 
step 5 in  BREWING C\bFFEE  WITH L\b\bSE C\bFFEE GR\bUNDS.
Note:  If the Start switch is \fn even if is pressed bef\fre plugging   
the c\frd and the indicat\fr light illuminates as s\f\fn as the c\frd is 
plugged in.
Care and CleaningThis pr\fduct c\fntains n\f user servic\yeable parts. Refer service t\f 
qualified service pers\fnnel. CLEANING
1. 
Be sure the c\fffeemaker is \fff and c\f\fled. Open the c\fver, 
rem\fve the permanent fi\ylter and filter basket (lift straight up) and 
discard the gr\funds \fr s\fft p\fds. \yClean as f\fll\fws: filter basket, 
permanent filter, thermal traveler mug and mug lid\y are all t\fp rack 
dishwasher-safe; \fr they may be hand-washed\y in warm, s\fapy 
water. The c\fffeemaker’s exteri\fr may be cleaned with a s\fft d\yamp 
cl\fth.
Important: Do not use abr\oasive cleansers or scouring pads. Never 
immerse the coffeema\fer in water.
2.  T\f clean inside \ff c\fver, \fpen the c\fver all\fwing it t\f rest in the 
\fpen p\fsiti\fn. Pull \ythe sh\fwerhead t\f release fr\fm under the tab 
and wipe the surface with a clean damp cl\fth. After cleaning, insert 
sh\fwerhead back in p\fsi\yti\fn.
CLEANING WITH VINEGAR
Mineral dep\fsits left by hard water can cl\fg y\fur c\fffeemaker. 
Cleaning is rec\fmmended \fnce a m\fnth. Excessive steaming \fr a 
pr\fl\fnged brewing cycle is a sign that a\y cleaning is needed. \y
1.  Fill the mug ab\fut \y¹⁄
³ full with white vinegar and then\y t\f the MAX 
line c\fld water and p\fur int\f the water reserv\fir. 
2.  Place the mug \fn the mu\yg rest.
3.  Press the Start switch and let the cleaning s\fluti\fn brew thr\fugh 
until the unit shu\yts \fff aut\fmatically. 
4.  Repeat the pr\fcess using a new s\fluti\fn; d\f n\ft reuse the first 
s\fluti\fn.
5.  Use the mug t\f fill the reserv\fir with c\fld water and brew the plain 
water thr\fugh t\f flush \fut any remaining s\fluti\fn. \yY\fu may have t\f 
repeat the plain wat\yer cycle t\f rem\fve any remaining vinegar t\yaste
6.  Wash and dry the per\ymanent filter, filter basket, lid and mug as\y 
instructed in CLEANING.

CABLE ELÉCTRIC\b

(\f un\f separable), a fin de reducir el riesg\f de tr\fpezar \f de 
enredarse en un cable más larg\f.
b)  Existen cables eléctric\fs más larg\fs y separables \f cables de 
extensión que un\f puede utilizar si t\fma el cuidad\f debid\f.
c)  Si se utiliza un cable separable \f de extensión, 1) 
el régimen n\fminal del cable separable \f del cable de 
extensión debe ser, c\fm\f mínim\f, igual al del régimen n\fminal 
del aparat\f.
2)  Si el aparat\f es de c\fnexión a tierra, el cable de extensión debe 
ser un cable de tres alambres de c\fnexión a tierra.
3)  Un\f debe de ac\fm\fdar el cable más larg\f de manera que n\f 
cuelgue del m\fstrad\fr \f de la mesa, para evitar que un niñ\f 
tire del mism\f \f que alguien se tr\fpiece.

PRIMER\bS PAS\bS
•  Lave las piezas rem\fvibles según las instrucci\fnes en la sección 
de CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA.
•  Vierta agua fría en el tanque de agua hasta el nivel que indica MAX.
•  C\fl\fque el filtr\f permanente en el cest\f del filtr\f y lueg\f c\fl\fque 
el cest\f en su c\fmpartimient\f respectiv\f.
•  Enchufe el cable a un t\fmac\frriente n\frmal.
•  Cuele agua siguiend\f las instrucci\fnes en la sección de COLAR 
CAFÉ sin agregar café m\flid\f \f b\flsitas de café. Cuand\f termine, 
deseche el agua de la taza.
PARA C\bLAR CAFÉ M\bLID\b SUELT\b
1.  Abra la tapa. Vierta agua fria en el tanque de agua (a n\f ser que 
use las instrucci\fnes en la siguiente n\fta).
Nota: Si desea, antes de c\fl\fcar la taza térmica p\frtátil en la base 
de la cafetera, retire la tapa de la taza para endulzar, agregar crema 
\f leche en la taza antes de iniciar el cicl\f de c\flad\f; cierre la tapa 
nuevamente. Si usa estas instrucci\fnes, n\f llene el tanque de agua 
hasta la marca MAX. Deje suficiente espaci\f en el tanque para que 
cuele la cantidad adecuada para la taza.. 
2.  C\fl\fque el cest\f del filtr\f en su c\fmpartimient\f c\fn el asa 
mirand\f hacia la Izquierda y la abertura descansand\f en la parte 
de atrás.
3.  C\fl\fque el filtr\f permanente adentr\f del cest\f rem\fvible c\fn el 
asa mirand\f hacia la derecha hasta que caiga segura en su lugar.
4.  Agregue cafe m\flid\f (se rec\fmienda 3 cucharadas). Cierre la tapa.
5.  C\fl\fque la taza en el la base de la cafetera, just\f debaj\f de la 
abertura del cest\f rem\fvible para el filtr\f.
6.  Presi\fne el interrupt\fr de funci\fnamient\f. La luz indicad\fra de 
encendid\f se ilumina. La cafetera y la luz indicad\fra de encendid\f 
se apagan aut\fmáticamente al finalizar el cicl\f de c\flad\f. Permita 
que la cafetera termine de g\ftear antes de retirar la taza.
Nota: El café m\flid\f abs\frbe cierta cantidad de líquid\f y es p\fr ell\f 
que el café c\flad\f en la taza resulta un p\fc\f men\fs en c\fmparación 
a la cantidad de agua que un\f vierte en el tanque.
Consejo: Un\f también puede utilizar esta cafetera para c\flar agua 
caliente para \ftras bebidas c\fm\f el té, el ch\fc\flate caliente, la avena 
instantánea y las s\fpas. Para c\flar agua caliente en la taza, c\fl\fque 
el filtr\f en el cest\f rem\fvible del filtr\f y siga el pr\fces\f de c\flad\f 
(sin agregar café m\flid\f).
Advertencia: Tenga cuidado al abrir la tapa del tanque después 
del ciclo de colado ya que dicha sección emite vapor y permanece 
caliente. 
PARA C\bLAR CAFÉ C\bN LAS B\bLSITAS
1.  Abra la tapa. Vierta agua fria en el tanque de agua (a n\f ser que 
use las instrucci\fnes en la n\fta baj\f el pas\f númer\f 1 de la 
sección PARA COLAR CAFÉ MOLIDO SUELTO).
2.  C\fl\fque una b\flsita de café (70 mm) en el cest\f del filtr\f, lueg\f 
c\fl\fque \ftra b\flsita en el filtr\f permanente; se rec\fmienda 
d\fs b\flsitas de café para 16 \fnzas  c\fn el asa mirand\f hacia la 
Izquierda y el \frifici\f descansand\f en la parte de atrás.
3.  C\fl\fque el filtr\f permanente adentr\f del cest\f rem\fvible según 
las instrucci\fnes en l\fs pas\fs númer\fs 2 y 3 de la sección PARA 
COLAR CAFÉ MOLIDO SUELTO. Cierre la tapa.
4.  C\fl\fque la taza en la base de la cafetera, just\f debaj\f de la 
abertura del cest\f rem\fvible para el filtr\f. 5. 
Presi\fne el interrupt\fr de funci\fnamient\f; la luz indicad\fra de 
encendid\f se ilumina. La cafetera y la luz indicad\fra de encendid\f 
se apagan aut\fmáticamente al finalizar el cicl\f de c\flad\f. Permita 
que la cafetera termine de g\ftear antes de retirar la taza.  Vea la 
informació que aparecen debajo del paso número  5 en la sección 
PARA C\bLAR CAFÉ M\bLID\b SUELT\b.
Nota:  Si usted presi\fna el interrupt\fr de funci\fnamient\f este se 
active y la luz indicad\fra de encedid\f se ilumina inmediatamente que 
se enchufe el cable.
Cuidado y limpieza
El aparat\f n\f c\fntiene piezas reparables p\fr el c\fnsumid\fr. Para 
servici\f, acuda a pers\fnal de asistencia calificad\f.
LIMPIEZA
1. Asegúese que el aparat\f esté apagad\f y de que se haya enfriad\f.  Abra la tapa, retire el filtr\f permanente y el cest\f del filtr\f (levante 
just\f hacia arriba) y deseche el café m\flid\f \f las b\flsitas de café. 
Lave las piezas de la siguiente manera: el cest\f del filtr\f, el filtr\f 
permanente, la taza y la tapa de la taza se pueden lavar en la 
bandeja superi\fr de la maquina lavaplat\fs \f a man\f c\fn jabón y 
agua tibia. El exteri\fr de la cafetera, se puede limpiar c\fn un pañ\f 
suave humedecid\f.
Importante: No utilice limpiadores ni almohadillas abrasivas. Nunca 
sumerja la cafetera en agua.
2.  Para limpiar el interi\fr de la tapa del tanque, abra la tapa enteriza, 
permitiend\f que descanse en p\fsición abierta.  hale el distribuid\fr 
de agua hacia abaj\f y limpie las superficies c\fn un pañ\f limpi\f 
humedecid\f. Después de limpiar, enganche el distribuid\fr de agua 
nuevamente en su lugar.
LIMPIEZA C\bN VINAGRE
L\fs depósit\fs minerales que pr\fvienen del agua dura pueden 
\fbstruir su cafetera. Se rec\fmienda que la limpieza se realice 
una vez al mes. La pr\fducción excesiva de vap\fr \f la pr\fl\fngación 
del cicl\f de c\flad\f s\fn indicativas de que la cafetera necesita una 
limpieza.
1.  Llene la taza c\fn apr\fximadamente ¹⁄
³ de vinagre blanc\f, ah\fra 
termine de llenar la taza c\fn agua fría, y vierta dentr\f del tanque 
de agua.
2.  C\fl\fque la taza s\fbre la base de la cafetera.
3.  Presi\fne el interrupt\fr de funci\fnamient\f y permita que la cafetera 
c\fmplete el cicl\f de c\flad\f hasta apagarse aut\fmáticamente.
4.  Repita el pr\fces\f c\fn una s\flución nueva; n\f vuelva a utilizar la 
misma s\flución.
5.  Utilice la taza para llenar el tanque c\fn agua fresca y cuele 
s\flamente agua, a fin de eliminar la s\flución de limpieza restante. 
Si es necesari\f, repita el cicl\f de c\flad\f c\fn agua fresca s\flamente 
para eliminar t\fd\f sab\fr a vinagre.
6.  Lave y seque el filtr\f permanente, el cest\f del filtr\f, la tapa y la 
taza según las instrucci\fnes de LIMPIEZA.
