    Car\fet clea\bi\bg
    1. Plug the deep cleaner \bnto a proper 
    outlet. Set ReadyTools d\bal to the  FLOOR 
    CLEANING sett\bng. Turn the power on 
    by press\bng the red power sw\btch on 
    the back of the un\bt w\bth your foot. Turn 
    heater sw\btch (located on s\bde of un\bt) 
    to the on pos\bt\bon. Allow one m\bnute for 
    the bu\blt-\bn heater to warm up before 
    clean\bng. 
    NOTE: The PROheat Multi Surface 
    will be fully warmed a\bd will \fro-
    vide o\ftimal \ferforma\bce after 
    o\be mi\bute of co\bti\buous heated 
    clea\bi\bg.
    2.  W\bth your foot, press the gray handle 
    release lever located on the back of un\bt 
    below water tank to detent handle.
    3.  Wh\ble press\bng the spray tr\bgger, make 
    one slow forward wet pass and another 
    back. Let the bu\blt-\bn heater, BISSELL 2X 
    advanced deep clean\bng formula and 
    D\brtL\bfter PowerBrush do the work for 
    you.  Cautio\b: Do \bot overwet.
    4.  Release the spray tr\bgger and make one 
    slow forward and backward pass over 
    the same area to remove any res\bdual 
    d\brty water and a\bd \bn dry\bng.
    5.  Repeat clean\bng passes unt\bl solut\bon 
    be\bng suct\boned up appears clean. 
    Cont\bnue passes w\bthout press\bng the 
    spray tr\bgger unt\bl you can’t see any 
    more water be\bng suct\boned up.
    Tip:
    Thorough vacuum\bng before deep 
    clean\bng w\bll prevent early clogg\bng 
    of the l\bnt trap.

    1. Turn power sw\btch off.  Remove the 2-\bn-1 
    water tank from the base us\bng the tank 
    carry handle. Carry the tank l\bke a bucket to 
    a ut\bl\bty s\bnk or outs\bde where you w\bll   
    d\bspose of the collect\bon water. Remove the 
    top of the tank by rotat\bng the handle for -
    ward to unlatch l\bd and l\bft\bng l\bd off tank.
    2.  Empty collect\bon water from bottom of tank.
    3.  After each use, remove and r\bnse the l\bnt 
    screen located on the tank l\bd. 
    4.  If nozzle needs to be cleaned, remove by 
    grasp\bng handle at the top and pull\bng   
    forward. Clean removable nozzle by   
    r\bns\bng under runn\bng water.  
    5.  When f\bn\bshed, replace nozzle by sl\bghtly 
    ra\bs\bng front of mach\bne to l\bne up slots on 
    the base w\bth the hooks on nozzle. Attach at 
    base f\brst and then cl\bck nozzle \bnto place. 
    NOTE: If \bozzle is \bot attached   
    \fro\ferly loss of suctio\b will occur.
    6.  To cont\bnue carpet clean\bng, refer back to 
    pages 10 through 11, beg\bnn\bng w\bth “F\bll 
    the 2-\bn-1 water tank” on page 10.
    If clea\bi\bg is com\flete, refer to the 
    “Mai\bte\ba\bce a\bd care” sectio\b o\b \fage 15.

    Your PROheat Multi Surface comes 
    equi\f\fed with a hose a\bd at least o\be 
    attachme\bt for clea\bi\bg stairs, u\fholstery, 
    a\bd more.
    Im\forta\bt! If usi\bg the machi\be to clea\b 
    u\fholstery, check u\fholstery tags.
    1.  Check manufacturer’s tag before clean\bng. 
    “W” or “WS” on the tag means you can use 
    your deep cleaner. If the tag \bs coded w\bth “X” 
    or “S” (w\bth a d\bagonal str\bke through), or says 
    “Dry Clean Only,” do not proceed. Do not use 
    on velvet or s\blk. If manufacturer’s tag \bs m\bss\bng 
    or not coded, check w\bth your furn\bture dealer. 
    2.  Check for colourfastness \bn an \bnconsp\bcu-
    ous place.
    3.  If poss\bble, check upholstery stuff\bng. Coloured 
    stuff\bng may bleed through fabr\bc when wet.
    4.  Plan act\bv\bt\bes to g\bve upholstery t\bme to 
    dry.

    5. Vacuum thoroughly to p\bck up loose 
    debr\bs and pet ha\br. \fse a vacuum w\bth 
    a brush attachment and a crev\bce tool to 
    clean \bn fabr\bc folds and tufts.
    6.  To beg\bn clean\bng w\bth attachments, 
    follow the \bnstruct\bons on page 10 for   
    f\bll\bng the 2-\bn-1 water tank.
    7.  Set the ReadyTools d\bal to the TOOLS sett\bng. 
    Th\bs w\bll allow spray and suct\bon from the hose. 
    8.  Attach the clean\bng tool of your cho\bce to 
    the end of the hose.
    9.  Clean by press\bng the spray tr\bgger to spray 
    solut\bon onto the area to be cleaned. Slowly 
    move the tool back and forth over the so\bled 
    surface. Release the spray tr\bgger to suct\bon d\brty 
    water. Cont\bnue to clean \bn the area, work\bng \bn 
    small sect\bons, unt\bl d\brt \bs removed.   
    Cautio\b: Do Not Overwet.
    10.  When f\bn\bshed clean\bng, remove and 
    r\bnse tool(s) \bn clean, runn\bng water.  
    11.  It \bs recommended that you suct\bon clean 
    water from the tap to r\bnse out the hose. 
    12.  Before wrapp\bng hose onto tool rack, l\bft 
    end of hose and stretch out to ensure all 
    water \bs cleared from hose.
    13.  Wrap flex hose around tool rack.
    14.  Empty 2-\bn-1 water tank and r\bnse out, 
    follow\bng \bnstruct\bons on page 12.
    15.  If the ReadyTools d\bal becomes d\bff\bcult to 
    turn, the d\bverter assembly that holds the 
    d\bal may need to be cleaned. To clean, f\brst 
    remove nozzle and locate screw that holds 
    the d\bverter assembly \bn place. W\bth a Ph\bll\bps 
    screwdr\bver, remove the screw and set as\bde.
    16.  Remove d\bverter assembly; hold under runn\bng 
    water mak\bng sure water flows through and 
    around the d\bal. Turn the d\bal about 10 t\bmes 
    clockw\bse and 10 more t\bmes counter   
    clockw\bse. Th\bs should free up any debr\bs.
    17.  W\bpe d\bverter assembly w\bth a soft cloth and 
    replace back on mach\bne. Replace nozzle.
    18.  Return ReadyTools d\bal to FLOOR 
    CLEANING sett\bng.

    Hard Floor Clea\bi\bg
    The hard floor tool \frovides effective 
    clea\bi\bg for li\boleum, vi\byl, a\bd tile 
    floors.  
    Cautio\b: Do \bot use o\b u\bsealed   
    hardwood floors.
    1.  Thoroughly vacuum or sweep floor to p\bck 
    up any debr\bs.
    NOTE: Prior to filli\bg with formula 
    a\bd water be sure all car\fet clea\bi\bg 
    formula is thoroughly ri\bsed from the 
    2-i\b-1 water ta\bk.
    2. F\bll BISSELL Hard Floor Solut\bons to the
    \bnd\bcated f\bll l\bne \bn the bu\blt \bn measur\bng 
    cup and pour \bnto mouth of bladder.
    3.  F\bll the bladder w\bth clean hand hot tap 
    water and set as\bde.
    4.  Attach the hard floor tool to the bottom of 
    the mach\bne by hook\bng \bt \bnto the nozzle 
    and sw\bng\bng \bt down unt\bl \bt cl\bcks \bnto 
    place. 
    5.  Be sure the ReadyTools d\bal \bs set to 
    FLOOR CLEANING.
    6.  Plug \bnto an outlet and turn the power on.
    7.  Plan your clean\bng route to leave an ex\bt 
    path. Be sure to allow adequate t\bme for 
    floors to dry. 
    8.  Wh\ble press\bng the spray tr\bgger, make 
    one slow forward wet pass and another 
    back.Cautio\b: Do Not Overwet.
    9.  Repeat the mot\bon w\bthout press\bng the 
    spray tr\bgger us\bng the hard floor tool to 
    squeegee and suct\bon up the d\brty water. 
    10.  When f\bn\bshed, remove hard floor tool, 
    r\bnse and let dry before stor\bng. Refer 
    to the Ma\bntenance and care sect\bon on 
    page 15 for mach\bne clean up and   
    storage \bnstruct\bons.

    Maintenance and care 
    Machi\be care
    For best results, a few sim\fle ste\fs ca\b 
    assure your machi\be is well mai\btai\bed 
    after clea\bi\bg is com\flete.
    1. Turn power sw\btch off. \fnplug the 
    mach\bne and wrap the power cord. 
    2 .  After empty\bng the 2-\bn-1 water tank, r\bnse 
    \bt w\bth runn\bng hand hot tap water, tak -
    \bng care to clean underneath and around 
    the heavy duty bladder. Clean out red l\bnt 
    screen. Removable nozzle may be r\bnsed \bf 
    necessary. Refer to page 12.
    3.  Replace the 2-\bn-1 water tank on the 
    mach\bne.
    4.  Any loose ha\br or debr\bs can be pulled 
    from the brush roll and thrown away.  
    5.  To clean attachments, remove from hose and 
    r\bnse \bn clean, runn\bng water. Dry before 
    stor\bng. Clean the hose by suct\bon\bng clean 
    water from the tap. Before wrapp\bng back 
    on mach\bne, l\bft end of hose and stretch out 
    to ensure all water \bs cleared from hose. 
    Refer to page 13, \bllustrat\bons 11 and 12.  
    6.  W\bpe the mach\bne’s exter\bor w\bth a soft 
    cloth.
    7.  After carpet \bs dry, vacuum aga\bn to 
    remove ha\br and fuzz.
    Machi\be storage
    Put the u\bit away i\b a closet or   
    baseme\bt for the \bext use. Store 
    clea\ber i\b a \frotected, dry area. Si\bce 
    this \froduct uses water, it must \bot be 
    stored where there is a da\bger of   
    freezi\bg. Freezi\bg will damage i\bter\bal 
    com\fo\be\bts a\bd void the warra\bty.

    Possible Causes
      Remedies
    1.	 The	heater	switch	is	not 	turned 	on.	 1.	 Turn	on	the 	heater 	switch	located 	on	side 	of	unit.
    \f.	 The	 machine	power	switch	is	not	 turned	 on.	 \f.	 Both	switches	must	\be	on	to	 activate	 the	heat	 	
    	 	 	 indicator	light.
    Reduced s\fray OR \bo s\fray
    Possible cause   Remedies
    1.	 Bladder	may	\be	empty.	 1.	 Turn	power 	switch 	off; 	refill 	\bladder 	with 	clean 	hand 	hot	tap	 	
    	 	 water	and	formula.
    \f.	 \f-in-1 	water	tank	may	not	\be	seated 	properly.	 \f.	 Turn	power	switch	off;	remove 	tank	and	reseat.	
    3.	 	Pump 	may	have 	lost	prime.	 3.	 Turn	power	switch	off;	after 	1	minute 	turn	on 	and 	depress	 	
    	 	 spray	trigger.
    4.	 The 	pump	\belt	may 	\be	\broken.	 4.	 Turn	power	switch	off	and 	unplug 	from	the	outlet. 	To 	check	 	
    	 	 if	a 	pump 	\belt 	has 	\broken, 	you 	will 	need 	a 	flat 	head	 	
    	 	 screwdriver.	A. Insert 	the	\blade 	end	into 	the	slot 	of	the	
    	 	 \belt	access	door	to	release. 	Examine 	the	\belt 	for	\breakage.	 	
    	 	 You	should	\be	a\ble 	to	see 	the	pump 	\belt 	looped 	around	 	
    	 	 the	motor 	shaft. 	If	it	is 	\broken 	or	missing, 	please 	refer 	to		
    	 	 Replacement	Parts 	on 	page 	18. 	A 	replacement 	\belt 	may 	\be	 	
    	 	 ordered	\by 	calling 	BISSELL 	Consumer 	Services.	Complete	 	
    	 	 installation	instructions	will	accompany 	the	replacement 	\belt.		
    	 	B. When 	replacing 	\belt 	access 	door 	\be 	sure 	to 	line 	up 	slots 	of	
    	 	 \belt	access 	door 	with 	slots 	in 	machine, 	slide 	door 	into 	place 	and	 	
    	 	 snap	shut.

    3.	 Remova\ble 	nozzle	may	not	\be	properly 	attached.	 3.	 Make	sure	nozzle	 is	on	 correctly	 \by	slightly	 raising	front		
    	 	 of	machine	 to	line	 up	slots	 on	the	 \base	 of	the	 machine	 	
    	 	 with	the	hooks	 on	nozzle.	 Attach	at	\base	 first	and		
    	 	 then	click 	nozzle 	into 	place. 	Refer 	to 	image 	5 	on 	page 	1\f.
    4.	 \f-in-1 	water	tank	lid	is	not 	properly 	installed.	 4.	 Re-install	lid; 	refer 	to 	the 	images 	on 	page 	10.	
    5.	 \f-in-1 	water	tank	is	not 	properly 	seated.	 5.	 \f-in-1	water 	tank	must 	\be 	firmly 	seated 	to 	function; 	remove	 	
    	 	 and	reseat 	\f-in-1 	water 	tank.	
    6.	 \f-in-1 	water	tank	has	picked 	up	maximum 	dirty	water.	 6.	 Empty 	\f-in-1	water	tank	and	refill, 	refer	to	the 	Operation	 	
    	 	 section.
