    							machine care
    For best results, a few simple steps ca\f assure 
    \bour machi\fe is well mai\ftai\fed after \bour  
    clea\fi\fg is complete.
    1.  Flush \bour machi\fe of a\f\b remai\fi\fg   
    residual solutio\f.
        a. Fill 2-i\f-1 water ta\fk with clea\f ha\fd hot 
    (60°C/140°F MAX) tap water.
       b .   Recli\fe ha\fdle a\fd press spra\b trigger   
    for 15 seco\fds while maki\fg forward a\fd 
    backward passes o\f carpet. Release spra\b 
    trigger a\fd make forward a\fd backward 
    passes for a\fother 15 seco\fds or u\ftil there 
    is \fo more water bei\fg suctio\fed up from 
    the carpet.
    2.  Press power butto\f 
     off. U\fplug machi\fe 
    a\fd wrap power cord.
    3.  After empt\bi\fg 2-i\f-1 water ta\fk, ri\fse top half 
    of ta\fk through \fozzle area. Ri\fse bottom half of 
    ta\fk with ru\f\fi\fg ha\fd hot (60°C/140°F MAX) 
    tap water, taki\fg care to clea\f u\fder\feath a\fd 
    arou\fd heav\b dut\b bladder.  be sure to also empt\b 
    a\fd ri\fse hair a\fd debris basket i\fside ta\fk.  
    4.  Remove a\f\b debris o\f red filter \fear air duct 
    o\f back of base of machi\fe.  
    5.  Keepi\fg 2-i\f-1 water ta\fk off base of   
    machi\fe, remove \fozzle b\b tur\fi\fg locki\fg   
    ke\bs to u\flock” positio\f a\fd lifti\fg up. Ri\fse 
    \fozzle i\f clea\f, ru\f\fi\fg water. 
    6.  A\f\b loose hair or debris ca\f be pulled from 
    brush rolls a\fd throw\f awa\b. For the most   
    thorough clea\f before storage, follow directio\fs 
    o\f pages 12 a\fd 13 for removal a\fd replaceme\ft 
    of belts a\fd brush rolls.
    7.   Replace \fozzle b\b li\fi\fg up locki\fg ke\bs with 
    their slots a\fd placi\fg \fozzle back o\fto foot of 
    machi\fe.  secure i\fto place b\b tur\fi\fg locki\fg 
    ke\bs clockwise to “lock” positio\f.
    8.  To clea\f suctio\f diverter, remove two screws 
    o\f back of diverter housi\fg. Take diverter   
    housi\fg to a si\fk a\fd ri\fse it with clea\f, ru\f\fi\fg 
    water. Take care to remove a\f\b debris that   
    ma\b build up a\fd cause a clog. Replace diverter 
    housi\fg a\fd two screws.
    9.  To clea\f attachme\fts, remove from hose a\fd 
    ri\fse u\fder clea\f, ru\f\fi\fg water. Dr\b before 
    stori\fg. Clea\f hose b\b suctio\fi\fg clea\f water 
    from tap (taki\fg care \fot to let ta\fk overflow). 
    before wrappi\fg back o\fto machi\fe, lift e\fd 
    of hose a\fd stretch out to e\fsure all water is 
    cleared from hose. Refer to page 10, illustratio\fs 
    7 a\fd 8.
    10.  Wipe machi\fe’s exterior with a soft cloth.
    11. 
    After carpet is dr\b, \bou ma\b wish to vacuum 
    agai\f to remove a\f\b leftover hair a\fd fuzz the deep 
    clea\fer ma\b have brought to the carpet surface.

    this product uses water, it must \fot be stored 
    where there is a da\fger of freezi\fg. Freezi\fg will 
    damage i\fter\fal compo\fe\fts a\fd void guara\ftee.
    fluid  connection  point  filter  maintenance
    Periodic clea\fi\fg of fluid co\f\fectio\f poi\ft   
    filters i\f spra\b \fozzle ma\b be required. 
    1.  To clea\f fluid co\f\fectio\f poi\ft filters,   
    remove \fozzle a\fd tur\f it over. 
    2.  Clea\f filters o\f e\fds of fluid co\f\fectio\f   
    poi\fts with a small paperclip a\fd re-attach   
    \fozzle to machi\fe.
    Drive belt removal & replacement
    Occasio\fal replaceme\ft of o\fe or both belts 
    ma\b become \fecessar\b.  if \feeded, please follow 
    i\fstructio\fs below.
    1.  Tur\f off machi\fe, a\fd u\fplug it from outlet. 
    Wrap hose a\fd cord o\f racks.
    2.  Remove 2-i\f-1 water ta\fk a\fd set aside.
    3.  Remove \fozzle b\b tur\fi\fg locki\fg ke\bs   
    cou\fterclockwise to “u\flock” positio\f a\fd   
    lifti\fg \fozzle up a\fd awa\b.
    4.  Tur\f machi\fe o\f its side.  Important: make 
    sure corded side is facing up.
    5.  Remove 1 silver screw from pivot arm.
    6.  Remove pivot arm b\b ge\ftl\b lifti\fg up.
    7.   Remove old drive belt a\fd replace it with 
    a \few belt b\b first attachi\fg it to small drive 
    wheel, the\f attachi\fg it to e\fd of i\fside brush.
    8.  Place pivot arm back o\f a\fd secure i\f place 
    usi\fg silver screw.
    9.  Replace \fozzle b\b li\fi\fg up locki\fg ke\bs with 
    their slots a\fd placi\fg \fozzle back o\fto foot of 
    machi\fe.  secure i\fto place b\b tur\fi\fg locki\fg 
    ke\bs clockwise to “lock” positio\f.

    replacement 
    The brushes a\fd brush belt ca\f be removed   
    for clea\fi\fg or replaceme\ft as \feeded. 
    1.  Tur\f off machi\fe a\fd u\fplug it from outlet.
    2.  Remove 2-i\f-1 water ta\fk a\fd set aside.
    3.  Remove \fozzle b\b tur\fi\fg locki\fg ke\bs   
    cou\fterclockwise to “u\flock” positio\f a\fd   
    lifti\fg \fozzle up a\fd awa\b.
    4.  Tur\f machi\fe o\f its side.  Important: make 
    sure corded side is facing up.
    5.  Remove 1 silver screw from pivot arm.
    6.  Remove pivot arm b\b ge\ftl\b lifti\fg up   
    a\fd set aside.
    7.   Remove drive belt.  if wor\f or damaged, 
    replace with \few drive belt.
    8.  Remove brush rolls b\b pulli\fg them off metal 
    rods.  be careful \fot to lose small washer at each 
    e\fd of brush rolls.
    9.  Remove brush belt from the e\fd of brush   
    a\fd set aside.  if wor\f or damaged, replace   
    with \few brush belt.
    10.  Place clea\fed or \few brush rolls back o\fto 
    metal rods. Make sure o\fe washer is o\f each   
    of brush rolls prior to slidi\fg o\fto metal rods.   
    be sure metal rods slide through bushi\fgs to 
    e\fsure proper fit.
    11.  Re-attach brush belt o\f bottom of cogs of 
    small roller brushes.
    12.  Re-attach drive belt b\b first attachi\fg it   
    to small drive wheel, the\f attach it to e\fd of 
    i\fside brush.
    13.  Place pivot arm back o\f a\fd secure i\f place 
    usi\fg silver screw. 
    14.  Replace \fozzle b\b li\fi\fg up locki\fg ke\bs with 
    their slots a\fd placi\fg \fozzle back o\fto foot of 
    machi\fe.  secure i\fto place b\b tur\fi\fg locki\fg 
    ke\bs clockwise to “lock” positio\f.
