Before using your vacuum, make sure that the dirt 
tank is in the locked position and that both filters 
(pre-motor and post-motor) are in place. Do not 
operate your vacuum without these filters.
The rotating floor brush continues to rotate while 
tools are in use. To reduce the risk of injury from 
moving parts, always move the cleaner with the 
carrying handle at the back of the cleaner. Always place vacuum 
cleaner on floor with handle in upright position when using tools.

C Operations
Power switch
The Power sw\ftch \fs located on the left s\fde 
of the vacuum. Push the rocker sw\ftch “ON” 
(i) to vacuum, and “OFF” (O) when clean\fng 
\fs complete. 
c1-Handle position
Press the handle release pedal w\fth your 
foot to place your vacuum \fnto one of three 
clean\fng pos\ft\fons.
1. Upright– For storage and a\bove floor   
clean\fng w\fth tools.
2.  Normal\fcleaning – Press handle release   
household floor clean\fng tasks.
3.  \bow\fcleaning –W\fth the vacuum \fn

Power cable storage
When you have f\fn\fshed us\fng your bissell 
vacuum, return \ft to the upr\fght pos\ft\fon and 
store the power ca\ble.
1. Turn vacuum cleaner off.
2. Unplug power ca\ble \by grasp\fng the   
polar\fzed plug (NOT the ca\ble) and   
d\fsconnect from socket.
3. Wrap power ca\ble around ca\ble wraps 
located on the \back of the vacuum.
4. Cl\fp molded plug to power ca\ble to 
secure.

post-motor filter
Use only a genu\fne  bissell replacement 
post-motor f\flter \fn your  bissell vacuum.
1. Unplug the cleaner from electr\fcal socket.
2. To access the post-motor f\flter, remove 
the f\flter tray located \below the  easy empty 
d\frt tank.  
3. When the f\flter \becomes d\frty, remove the 
f\flter from the \bottom of the tray and clean 
or replace the f\flter. (T\fp: fl\fp the f\flter tray 
over to access the f\flter).
