61 GENERAL OPERATION The Beretta Cx4 Storm is a semiautomatic blowback type firearm. Upon firing, the pressure developed by the combustion gases pushes the bolt back which, during its rear ward movement, extracts and ejects the fired car tridge case, cocks the hammer and compresses the recoil spring.The bolt will then automatically move for ward towards the closed position, feeding the next car tridge from the magazine into the chamber.
