Connecting with video equipment
You can connect the projector to any type of video equipment, such as a VCR, DVD player, Blu-ray player, 
digital tuner, cable or satellite decoder, video game console or digital camera. You can also connect it to a

•  Connecting HDMI devices to the projector with HDMI cables
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) supports uncompressed video data transmission 
between compatible devices like DTV tuners, DVD players, Blu-ray players and displays over a single

Be sure to match the corresponding colors between the cables and the terminals. The RCA type

Connect the projector to a computer with a VGA cable. 
Many laptops do not turn on their external video ports when connected to a projector. Usually a key 
combination like Fn + F3 or CRT/LCD key turns the external display on/off. Locate a function key labeled 
CRT/LCD or a function key with a monitor symbol on the laptop. Press Fn and the labeled function key

Wireless transmitter synchronization
The factory default configuration will pair your HDMI source device with the projector. If the connection 
fails, follow the procedures below to set the pairing.
1. Connect the wireless transmitter to an HDMI source device. (e.g. Blu-ray, DVD player, AV-R player, 
set top boxes, or games consoles)
2. Turn on the projector.
3. Select Wireless in the source selection bar.
4. Press MENU/EXIT on the projector or remote control, and...

9. When the message Please Press Registration Button on Transmitter displays, press the 
button on the wireless transmitter.
10. When the message Adding BENQ Tx displays, and select OK.
11. When the message Adding BENQ Tx disappears, the sync function has completed successfully. 
12. Restart the projector to reset the settings.

Using the projector
Preparations
1. Plug in and turn all of the connected equipment on.
2. If not already in, plug the supplied power cable into the AC inlet on the 
rear of the projector. 
3. Plug the power cable into a wall power outlet and turn the wall switch 
on.
Please use the original accessories (e.g. power cable) only with the device to 
avoid possible dangers such as electric shock and fire.

Selecting an input source
The projector can be connected to multiple equipment at the same time. 
When the projector is first turned on, it will attempt to reconnect with 
the input source which was in use when the projector was last shut 
down.
To select the video source:
•  Using the remote control or projector

selection bar displays.
